The hull of the Italia Yachts 9.98 is the result of numerous statistical analyses and fluid dynamics combined with performance prediction programs. The particular geometry obtained allows for very fine water lines and tight exits when the boat is upright, benefiting from the swell, while when the heel increases, the lines widen to ensure greater stability of the shape while remaining symmetrical. These studies, along with experience on racing circuits, have led to an excellent compromise between performance and ease of handling.

EXTERIOR

The deck lines have been shaped in search of the best compromise between the ergonomics of maneuvers and the interior spaces and volumes, naturally taking into account the aesthetic aspect. Thanks to the initiated shapes and chamfers, a geometry with low aerodynamic impact and a sleek, modern look have been achieved. The importance of obtaining clean flows around the coachroof has been the guiding principle of the designers, who have created a functional, ergonomic, and safe deck, suitable for both crewed and short-handed sailing. Externally, the Italia 9.98 Bellissima is equipped with a dual-wheel steering system, two comfortable benches in the cockpit, also covered with synthetic teak, and an integrated dolphin striker.

INTERIOR

The IY 9.98 is also suitable for long cruises, and in addition to its exhilarating sailing performance, it combines refined and welcoming interiors with artisanal finishes. The interior layout includes 2 cabins, a rear bathroom, and a central salon with a dinette, kitchen, and chart table. The modern design is characterized by gelcoat surfaces that are functional for both racing and cruising. Some pieces, such as cabinets and lockers, are made of fabric and can be disassembled to lighten the load during racing. The bedding is made of marine plywood with a laminated finish and gray non-slip surface. The doors are equipped with thresholds and finished with technical aluminum frames to increase resistance for sporting use. The chart table is located in the salon, while the kitchen is arranged in an "L" shape and includes a sink, a refrigerator compartment, and a tilting cooktop.
