Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean”

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Hull and deck are in sandwich construction of uni- and bi-directional fiberglass fibres. 
• This kind of structure gives a light hull which is, however, far more resistant to dynamic stress and is far more rigid than a plain laminate construction. 
• Airex core, an expanded closed-cell vinyl polychloride preventing moisture from expanding into the construction in case of a damaged section. 
• Vacuum system is used for gluing of the sandwich to hull and deck. 
• Where needed carbon reinforcements will be applied, at the chainplates, stringers, beams and the keel structure, and in the high load areas the core will be replaced with higher density foam or plywood. 
• The strength of laminates conform to the designer's specifications and are regularly controlled by their competent technical departments. 
• The transversal and longitudinal reinforcements of the hull are made in composite and well laminated to the hull according to the calculated dimensions. 
• The waterline is painted with polyurethane varnish. 
• The fore, mast and aft bulkheads are in composite. All others are in plywood and will be well laminated to both hull and deck. This kind of construction guarantees a greater stiffness than the silicone bonding and represents a uniqueness of the Yard. 
• All visible hull and deck surfaces are in high quality white gelcoat.
• 10mm teak laid side decks, coachroof, cockpit seating and bathing platform with grey caulking.
• Carbon dolphin striker integrated into the hull for gennaker and Code 0 with anchor integrated.
• Copper coat antifouling system.
• 4 additional hull windows over standard, double layer glass.

 

Keel & Rudder:

• The 3.30m-draft torpedo bulb keel is designed and built for high speeds and guarantees performance and stability. 
• The keel ballast is made of lead /antimony. 
• The keel fin is made of Weldox steel construction, which is attached to the hull by stainless steel bolts. 
• The keel is treated and protected by epoxy products.
• Twin balanced rudders with stainless steel rudder shafts.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• 1 x Volvo D4-175, 4-cylinder common-rail turbo-charged diesel engine producing 175hp @ 2,800rpm.
• Volvo Penta HS68A 2.04:1 marine hydraulic gearbox with electric shift actuator. 
• Engine is mounted on shock absorbers. 
• Instruments control panel to be mounted at the helm station. 
• Engine hours counter, rpm-meter, throttle type Morse, are mounted in cockpit at starboard helm station.
• Volvo Penta NMEA interface displaying engine data to chart plotter.

Maintenance & Performance:

• Engine hours – 708 @ Autumn 2025.
• Date of last engine service – May 2025.

 

Propulsion & Steering:

• MaxPower VIP250 24vDC retractable bow thruster.
• MaxPower R200 24vDC retractable stern thruster.
• Stainless steel shaft supported by bronze p-bracket.
• Feathering 4-Blade SPW propeller.

Electrical Systems

Voltage Systems:

• 24vDC primary domestic system with 12vDC start circuit and 230v AC via shore power or generator.

 

Battery Banks:

• 7 x 24vDC 115Ah service batteries joined in parallel to supply 805Ah @ 24vDC.
• 12vDC 75Ah engine start battery.
• 12vDC 75Ah generator start battery.
• 24vDC 150ah dedicated battery bank for bow thruster.
• 24vDC 150ah dedicated battery bank for stern thruster.

 

Battery Chargers:

• Mastervolt 100Ah battery charger for 24vDC services.
• Mastervolt Chargemaster 12-25 battery charger for start batteries.

 

Inverter:

• Mastervolt 2,500w inverter.

 

Alternators:

• 24vDC engine mounted alternator for charging service batteries.
• 12vDC engine mounted alternator for charging start batteries.

 

Generator:

• Onan 11Kw QD MDKDN 11Kw diesel generator.
• Generator hours - 444 as of Autumn 2025.
• Date of last generator service – May 2025.

 

Shore Power:

• The 220vAC 50 Hz group is supplied by shore power through a proper connector and it supplies different devices i.e. boiler, battery charger, sockets). 
• The 220vAC group is supplied by shore power through a stern mounted socket: boiler, battery charger, sockets. 
•  220vAC sockets throughout interior.

 

Other Electrical:

• Switchboard for control, protection and distribution of the 220V alternating current (AC) with automatic circuit breakers and functioning lights for every single switch. 
• Switchboard for control, protection and distribution of the 24V direct current (DC) with automatic circuit breakers and functioning lights for every single switch. 
• Digital control instruments as voltmeters and ammeters for alternating (AC) and direct current (DC) and for the constant control of batteries and battery chargers. 
• DC electric system protected from overload and short circuit by general thermomagnetic switches mounted near the batteries, one for every battery group and each consumer. 
• USB sockets.
• 24vDC socket in starboard aft cockpit locker.

Plumbing Systems

Fresh Water & Water Heating System:

• 24vDC fresh water pressure pump, serving all water systems of a pressurized tank. Mounted easily accessible in the engine room.
• Hot water supplied via engine cooling with 50 litre calorifier or via 220vAC immersion heater element from shore power.
• Hot & cold pressurised water to galley, heads and shower at stern platform.

 

Watermaker:

• 24vDC Schenker modular reverse-osmosis watermaker producing approx. 150 litre per hour.

 

Bilge Pumps:

• All pumps are easily accessible for maintenance. 
• Manual bilge pump in the cockpit. 
• Electric bilge pump with large capacity with suction in the main bilge. 
• Electric bilge pump for the forward shower. 
• Electric bilge pump in sail locker.

 

Other Plumbing:

• All flush seacocks are made of nickel-plated brass, quick operational, easily accessible.

Fuel:

• Total fuel capacity approx. 800 litres.
