History

The boat, which is sailed exclusively by the owner, is designed and equipped for single-handed sailing, made possible in particular by 3 electric winches, line routing to the helm and remote control of the mainsheet winch at the helm. The owner sailed, after the transfer of the new boat from the shipyard, via the Bay of Biscay to Italy. The current owner has mainly sailed around the Mediterranean area with the Binti.

Hull material:  GRP, Heavy duty GRP moulding, built to Ocean’s precise laminating system incorporating multi-axial and unidirectional reinforcements. The hull and deck are a cored sandwich construction with stiffening runs the entire length of the hull. All main bulkheads are bonded and laminated into the hull. High performance keels are fitted for lateral resistance and buoyancy. A layer of kevlar is installed forward of the keels for added impact resistance. Carbon is used throughout for added structural strength
