The Morris M36X takes the timeless elegance and exceptional engineering of the renowned and well recognized M36 Modern Classic and elevates it with an exhilarating performance edge. Designed by Sparkman & Stephens as a high performance daysailer, the M36X features a lengthened carbon fiber rig that delivers increased sail area compared to the standard M36. When sailing off the wind, her carbon fiber bow sprit makes easy work of flying larger reaching and downwind sails. This added power makes her especially well suited for areas with lower average wind speeds, where her enhanced sail plan translates directly into better acceleration, stronger light air performance, and a more powerful sailing experience.
A deeper draft further complements her performance, improving upwind ability, stiffness, and overall control. The result is a boat that retains the refined handling, balance, and beauty the Morris M36 is known for, while offering a more athletic and responsive boat on the water.
Like all Morris daysailers, the M36X is, at it's core, engineered for effortless enjoyment. Sail handling systems are led aft below decks to cockpit mounted controls, keeping the deck clean, safe, and uncluttered.
