Description
Introducing 'Kianga', a 2016 Knysna 500 SE now exclusively for sale with the YOTI team in Queensland.
Kianga is a very well presented and maintained 50-foot sailing catamaran built by the boutique Knysna Yacht Company in South Africa. Known for their limited-production, hand-finished multihulls, Knysna yachts combine solid construction, bluewater performance, and refined living spaces.
Designed for voyaging, the 500SE is a proven liveaboard bluewater catamaran. Her sleek lines and strong, reliable build allow confident offshore sailing, while her spacious interior provides comfort for extended time aboard.
Interior - The saloon seats six to eight around a raised dinette and includes a bar with a custom wine rack and a 40" TV. The galley features a stainless oven/grill, 150-litre fridge/freezer, a separate 90-litre freezer, generous bench space and storage. Below, the full-beam owner's suite to port includes a desk/vanity and a large en-suite. To starboard, two guest cabins--each with private en-suites--offer welcoming, private spaces. Maple joinery, dimmable lighting, air-conditioning, and large windows enhance the interior.
Cockpit & Helm - A teak cockpit with dining for eight, integrated seating with refrigerated locker, wet bar, and Force 10 BBQ makes entertaining easy. The composite coachroof has twin sliding glass hatches for ventilation. A separate helm hardtop with roll-up clears provides excellent protection to the fully equipped helmstation, while a Fusion system with cockpit speakers sets the soundtrack at sea.
Systems & Performance - Kianga is designed for dependable performance. She is powered by Twin Yanmar 57 hp diesels with SD60 saildrives. Her tanks carry 600L of fuel and 600L of water, backed by a 100L/hr watermaker. Navigation is via a full B&G suite (16" plotter, radar, autopilot, wind/depth, AIS, VHF). Electricals include Mastervolt lithium batteries (1,080 Ah), inverter/charger, Kohler 7 kW generator, Starlink and 800 W of solar, supporting off grid living. Sail handling is straightforward with a fully battened mainsail, roller-furling genoa, and electric winches. She comes with a new ('25) Aurora 3.1 m tender and is fully polished.

Accommodations and Galley
3 cabin layout. Interior wood in maple. Light and airy saloon with oval shaped dinette. The table lowers to form a large daybed. Ergonomic for and aft-facing galley with Corian counters, twin Corian sinks and ample storage. Owners cabin to port with double berth, large hull windows, settee, vanity desk and separate work desk. Ensuite head with electric head, Corian counter and enclosed shower stall. Bow locker with Bauer Dive compressor. Starboard aft cabin with double berth with ensuite head and shower. Starboard forward cabin with athwartships double berth, vanity desk, seat and ensuite head. Bow locker with washing machine.
