Description
Ker 63, SALINA is a very clever yacht, with superb performance, enormous interior and accommodation, yet simple and easy to handle shorthanded. SALINA is in good fettle and is well serviced and maintained, and absolutely ready to go for the next owner.
Construction
RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” (or Cat B – whichever is appropriate)
Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
- Vacuum infused epoxy based vinylester cored GRP with gelcoat finish.
- Carbon beams and reinforcing.
- Topsides in grey.
- Thermal and sound insulated hull and deck.
- The high stress areas (where winches and major deck fittings are fixed) are reinforced with aluminium or higher density core.
- Hull and deck join is screwed and bonded with structural glue.
- Copper Coat bottom paint. Last touched up in 2022.
- Teak decking, on cockpit, seats, coach roof and side decks, glued down, with light caulking.
Keel & Rudder:
- Twin carbon rudders with independent gear, linked together (one rudder blade or steering system failure does not affect other rudder system).
- Semi-balanced rudders with self-aligning roller bearings.
- Carbon Quadrants.
- Cast iron fin keel with lead bulb. Encased with composite.
- Stainless reinforcement in way of keel.
Machinery
Engine & Gearboxes:
- 1 x Yanmar Diesel Engine 4 cylinder, 160HP / 118KW.
Maintenance & Performance:
- Engine hours approx. 2870 @ January 2026.
- Engine last Serviced April 2025. Full engine inspection - engine mounts replaced, all filters replaced, etc.

- Dual Solimar Racer steering wheels in clearcoat carbon 1100mm diameter.
- Two steering pedestals with 2022 chart plotters with carbon weave finish.
- Electric single lever engine control on both steering pedestals.
- Deck equipment switches on steering pedestals.
Other:
- Hydraulic vangs (main sail tension vang and hose replaced, boom vang, backstay vang) inspected and serviced February 2025; all working, with possible future replacement of some hoses.

Voltage Systems:
- 24/12 V DC SYSTEM.

Bilge Pumps:
- 4 x Electric bilge pumps, operated by automatic and/or manual switch.
- Hand operated bilge pump is positioned in the cock.

- Replaced and inspected Through-hull fittings and seacocks inspected and replaced where necessary. 1 x underwater light replaced 2024.

- Ventilated aluminium fresh water tanks placed below flooring in the saloon for a total capacity of approx. 1200 litres with inspection holes/covers.
