Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” (or Cat B – whichever is appropriate)

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Vacuum infused epoxy based vinylester cored GRP with gelcoat finish.
• Carbon beams and reinforcing.
• Topsides in grey.
• Thermal and sound insulated hull and deck.
• The high stress areas (where winches and major deck fittings are fixed) are reinforced with aluminium or higher density core. 
• Hull and deck join is screwed and bonded with structural glue.
• Copper Coat bottom paint. Last touched up in 2022. 
• Teak decking, on cockpit, seats, coach roof and side decks, glued down, with light caulking.

Keel & Rudder:

• Twin carbon rudders with independent gear, linked together (one rudder blade or steering system failure does not affect other rudder system).
• Semi-balanced rudders with self-aligning roller bearings.
• Carbon Quadrants.
• Cast iron fin keel with lead bulb. Encased with composite.
• Stainless reinforcement in way of keel.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• 1 x Yanmar Diesel Engine 4 cylinder, 160HP / 118KW.

 

Maintenance & Performance:

• Engine hours approx. 2870 @ January 2026.
• Engine last Serviced April 2025. Full engine inspection - engine mounts replaced, all filters replaced, etc. 
• Max Speed – 9 knots
• Cruising Speed – 10 knots.
• Range – 1200 NM.
• Consumption - 10 l/h.

 

Propulsion & Steering:

• 3-blade folding propeller, shaft drive.
• Cutless bearings replaced May 2024.
• Bow Thruster – retractable SidePower electric, own batteries and charger. Full Service July 2024 (revision motor block overhaul, shaft seal replaced, main propeller shaft replaced).
• Twin stern thrusters – retractable sidePower to give more depth in dinghy garage. Linked together. Service planned for 2026 (two motors inspected in July 2025, both hydraulic cylinders will be replaced March 2026).
• Dual Solimar Racer steering wheels in clearcoat carbon 1100mm diameter. 
• Two steering pedestals with 2022 chart plotters with carbon weave finish.
• Electric single lever engine control on both steering pedestals.
• Deck equipment switches on steering pedestals.

 

Other:

• Hydraulic vangs (main sail tension vang and hose replaced, boom vang, backstay vang) inspected and serviced February 2025; all working, with possible future replacement of some hoses. 

Electrical Systems

Voltage Systems:

• 24/12 V DC SYSTEM.
• 18 x 220V Multi region sockets.
• USB sockets throughout.
• Main switchboard includes LED indicator and thermo magnetic switches.

 

Battery Banks:

• 12v Engine battery (2019).
• 12v Generator battery (2019).
• 2 x 12v (24v) Bow thruster battery July 2024.

 

Battery Chargers:

• 2 x Victron charge/inverters 240 V.
• 1 x Victron charger 100 V/240 V.
• 1 x Victron battery charger for engine and generator.
• 1 x charger for bow thruster.
• 6 x MG LFP Battery 24 V 304 – third-generation LiFePO4 chemistry, forming the basis of a safe and reliable battery. Fully scalable in voltage and capacity:
  1. Connect up to 4 modules in series to create a battery voltage of 96 V DC.
  2. Add parallel strings to increase system capacity.
  3. System capacities can exceed 1 MWh.
  4. Fully compatible with expandable energy storage systems (ESS).
• Batteries’ serviced/replaced June 2025.
• Victron power monitoring.

 

Alternators:

• Secondary Alternator – Balmar 24v 220Amp.

 

Generator:

• Fischer Panda generator 12kW.
• Last serviced April /2025.

 

Shore Power:

• Shore and aircon power 240v.
• Shore power dockside cable and separate cable and connection for air conditioning. 110v/60hz dock socket.

 

Solar (need replacing):

• 4 x Stern large solar panels (180w x 4) - 720.
• 2 x Stern small solar panels (150w x 2) - 300.
• 2 x Port solar panels (165w x 2) - 330.
• 2 x Boom solar panels (165w x 2) - 330.
• 2 x Starboard solar panels (165w x 2) - 330.
• 2 x Large panels (350w x 2) - 700.

Plumbing Systems

Fresh Water & Water Heating System:

• Hot water tank - 40 litres.
• Hot & cold pressurized fresh water system led to separate manifolds.
• Mixing fresh water taps are fitted in both head units and in the galley.
• The hot water tank is heated by integrated heater run with 220V power or by engine cooling (fresh) water calorifier.

 

Watermaker:

• Schenker watermaker 100 litres/hour.
• Fully serviced with any necessary parts replaced by Schenker Italy June 2025.

 

Bilge Pumps:

• 4 x Electric bilge pumps, operated by automatic and/or manual switch.
• Hand operated bilge pump is positioned in the cock.

 

Other: 

• Replaced and inspected Through-hull fittings and seacocks inspected and replaced where necessary. 1 x underwater light replaced 2024.

Tankage

Fuel:

• Fuel (plastic welded tanks) - 850 + 205 = 1055 litres.

 

Fresh Water:

• Water Fresh (aluminium tanks) - 1200 litres.
• Ventilated aluminium fresh water tanks placed below flooring in the saloon for a total capacity of approx. 1200 litres with inspection holes/covers.
• Tank level gauges on the electric switchboard.

 

Grey/Blackwater Holding Tanks:

• Black Water - 40 litres x 3, one for each toilet.
• Grey water tank – 90 litres forward/owner (Requires repair or replacement due to a leak; currently bypassed, discharging directly into the sea).

• 2 x B&G speedometer; B&G log with repeater; B&G echo sounder.

Description of layout from forward

 

Forepeak - Crew Accommodation:

• One cabin with two berths and a separate head. 
• Access is through a hatch in the foredeck with a stainless ladder. 
• The accommodation has storage under the berth and cupboard. 
• A separate heads with shower attachment. 
• Bright and airy white finish with wooden trim. 

 

Fwd Owner’s Cabin:

• Located forward of the saloon.
• Large double berth on centre line with storage under. 
• There are drawer lockers under the bed.
• Double wardrobes on the port and starboard side of the cabin.
•  A desk and chair are on the port side..

 

Fwd Owner’s En-Suite Head:

• Electric flush marine toilet.
• Wash basin.
• Separate rain shower in a cubicle. 

 

Galley:

• Situated to starboard in a U shape area – practical for use at sea. 
• Corian work tops and twin stainless steel sinks. 
• Plenty of storage space and is seamlessly integrated into the saloon area. 

 

Twin Bunk Cabin:

• Situated opposite the galley to port.
• Twin bunks with upper and lower beds. 
• Plenty of storage.
• Can also double up as a larder / pantry for long distance sailing. 

 

Saloon:

• The wide and spacious saloon has a U shaped sofa to starboard.
• The starboard dining table (that moves up and down as well as folding up or opening out) can form a bed. 
• On port side is another sofa. 
• A wine fridge is set in the front of the galley.
• The bookshelves above the settee hold enough books to relax on any cruise. 
• There are also stowage lockers under the seats and behind backrests. 
• Hull windows either side help to make the salon a bright and airy space.
• The Saloon is a warm and comfortable place to relax.
• The companionway to the cockpit is on the centreline.
• To aft on starboard by the entrance is a hanging locker for wet sailing clothes.

 

Navigation Area:

• Situated aft of the saloon on port side.
• Desk and seat.

 

2 x Aft Mirror Image Guest Cabins:

• Double berths
• Hanging locker space. 
• Some storage cupboards above the beds along hull sides.

• Dyneema Running Rigging. Nearly all renewed February 2025, including mainsheet and halyards. 
• Spinlock clutches and deck guides checked and renewed where necessary.
• All halyards, reef lines, and control lines are hidden below deck and led to the cockpit (winches).

• Dinghy storage below cockpit.
• Inclined garage with gear for easy handling of dedicated 345 Williams Jet Tender. Dingy garage door in carbon to reduce weight. Reinforced by Petit Jean , June 2025.

Safety Equipment

• Compartment for life raft stowage on starboard side.
• 2 x 6 man Liferafts, one in cockpit locker and other under cockpit table. Fully Serviced and new registers May 2024.

• SALINA has a custom built shore cradle.  Stored in Port Saint Louis (Navy service).
