Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised A – “Ocean” (or Cat B – whichever is appropriate)

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:

• Deck, coach roof and cockpit sole have teak laid decks – Borocol treated.
• Stripes on hull and coach roof in silver metallic.
• Hull windows port and starboard – nonstandard.
• 3 x Coats of epoxy on underwater profile - Navy antifouling – Micron 350 (July 2025).

 

Keel & Rudder:

• Lead keel.

Machinery

Engine & Gearboxes:

• Volvo Penta D2-75 turbo diesel engine (2,300 engine hours).
• Twin Volvo Penta control panels.
• Volvo Penta sail drive – main gasket seal replaced 2024.
• RACOR fuel/water separator and filter with alarm in cockpit.

 

Maintenance & Performance:

• Engine overhaul in 2024 – oil service and fuel filters changed 2025.
• New turbo.
• New exhaust elbow.
• Stainless exhaust bend refurbished.
• Thermostat, impellor, coolant changed.
• Approx 3.2 litres per hour at 1600 rpm = 6kts boat speed.

 

Propulsion & Steering:

• VIP Duo Max Power bow thruster (retractable).
• 3 blade Flex-o-fold folding propeller (anodes replace July 2025).

  1. Complete standing rigging replacement 1/19 316L ASI Grade Stainless Certified Wire.
  2. Backstay cascade replaced with Aramid Braid with UV jacket.
  3. Halmatro Backstay ram removed and sent for service.
  4. Genoa furler removed and serviced.

• 2 x Electric Harken winches for genoa sheets 60.2STEA radial.
