Description
New Arrival – Now at our docks!
"Kahuna" is an extremely well maintained, well equipped Jeanneau 409. Ready to cruise or club race now! With a light and spacious open interior and large owner cabin forward, she is a lot of boat for a 40' vessel. The 2 Cabin 1 Head layout features a large owner’s cabin forward with separate desk, extremely spacious main salon, large aft cabin to starboard, Nice L-galley with Corion counters and lots of cupboards, and spacious head to port with access to the giant ‘garage’ with plenty of storage for gear and sails.
Fast, fun & easy to sail with classic mainsail, furling genoa, and newer canvas. Hard chine hull for more upright sailing and less heel. Very easy to single or double hand - main sheet, genoa sheets, reef lines, tack line, genoa furling line and spinnaker sheets led aft to the cockpit. Incredible sailing performance with a large twin wheel ergonomic cockpit featuring a large fold down swim step for easy boarding and swimming.
The Jeanneau 409 was one of the hottest selling boats when new in the Pacific Northwest and continues to be a boat in high demand!
This is a very rare, one-owner Jeanneau 409 available in the Pacific Northwest, they do not come up for sale often. With all new canvas in 2023, and new bottom paint in June 2025, She is in "turn-key" condition and is chomping at the bit to go sailing with her new owner!
Call Todd (206 352 3045) or Dean (206 499 8993) today to set an appointment to view this fantastic Jeanneau 409.

Accommodations
The interior of Kahuna features a modern aesthetic, highlighted by light wood finishes and generous use of white overhead and hull panels, all tastefully contrasted by espresso-colored upholstery. Large hull and cabin side windows flood the interior with natural light. Curtains adorn the main salon windows, and screens/blinds are integrated into the hatches.
Forward, the master stateroom includes a spacious V-berth flanked by hull-side windows with sliding shades. A large overhead hatch adds even more natural light. A shelf runs along the hull above the berth, while additional storage is provided aft in a combination of lockers—both with shelving and hanging space—on port and starboard for organization. A desk with chair faces aft on the forward bulkhead.
The salon offers a U-shaped dinette to starboard and a lengthy, straight settee to port. The table features a folding leaf and an integrated bottle locker in the base. The table also drops down to convert the starboard settee into another berth or large lounge. Storage is available below the settees and in lockers above. At-seated eye-level hull windows, large cabin portlights, and overhead hatches make this space exceptionally bright and open.
Aft to port, the nav station includes a versatile table usable from either a forward or aft-facing position. The tabletop lifts for storage, and nearby are the electrical distribution panel, battery and tank monitors, stereo, and VHF radio.
To starboard, the L-shaped galley is practical and well-equipped. It includes wood fiddles, a smoked acrylic backsplash, and solid-surface countertops. The double stainless-steel sink has removable inserts to expand counter space. Storage is generous, with drawers below the counter, and lockers overhead. A trash bin is housed in the cabinet under the sink. The large top-opening refrigerator features plenty of space and separate freezer compartment, and aft is a two-burner Eno stove with oven.
The aft stateroom is bright and inviting, with a wide quarterberth suitable for two. It’s illuminated by a cockpit portlight, hull-side window, and two overhead hatches. Forward and outboard are both a hanging locker and shelving storage.
Located to port near the companionway, the large head includes a forward sink and counter, a mirror on the forward bulkhead, and an acrylic door separating the shower area when in use. The head is positioned aft in the compartment.
A door in the aft bulkhead of the head leads to an extremely large storage locker, featuring shelves and removable storage bins along the hull.
