Description

OYSTER 655.13 JACKIE O - PRICE REDUCED

Oyster Brokerage are delighted to announce the listing of 655.13 Jackie O.

Jackie O stands out as a premium bluewater cruising yacht that blends performance, luxury, and practicality. It’s an Oyster 655, a well-regarded design by Rob Humphreys, known for ocean-going capability. The hull is built to Lloyds-approved standards with a carbon/Kevlar composite for strength and weight reduction, and the high-performance bulb keel and carbon in-mast furling rig deliver strong sailing performance with easy handling.

On deck, Jackie O is designed for safe, efficient cruising. Twin wheels and a split cockpit give clear separation between sailing and guest areas, while the teak-laid decks and hydraulic passarelle enhance both function and style.

Comfort is another major highlight. The interior offers eight berths across four cabins, all finished in rich cherry joinery with thoughtful seagoing details like sculpted grab rails and secure storage. The spacious saloon and owner’s stateroom provide a sense of light and luxury, while the fully equipped galley and high-end appliances make long passages practical. Modern entertainment systems and air conditioning throughout add to onboard comfort.

Jackie O has benefitted from a comprehensive program of recent upgrades. She is equipped with a completely new Raymarine electronics suite on a modern BUS network, ensuring state-of-the-art navigation and system integration. In 2023, the bottom was professionally taken back to gelcoat, primed, and finished with fresh antifouling for optimum hull performance. Her systems are supported by new service batteries installed in 2024, while her rig received a full renewal of standing rigging in 2021/2022 for added safety and reliability. Performance under sail is enhanced by her 2020 North 3Di mainsail and genoa, delivering efficiency and speed in a wide range of conditions.

In essence, Jackie O offers a rare mix of robust offshore capability, refined living spaces, and a high level of equipment, making it an ideal choice for serious cruising or comfortable ocean passage-making.

MANUFACTURERS COMMENTS

With the 655, performance was an established criterion from the outset. Designer, Rob Humphreys, created a set of hull lines with a relatively fine entry forward and a clean run aft. Add a low centre of gravity keel, a modern high aspect rudder and powerful sail plan and the result is a fast yacht that is a pleasure to sail.

The twin helm configuration puts the helmsman in exactly the right place and means that the spacious forward cockpit is safe and uncluttered. It is also much easier to get on and off the working deck since there is virtually flat deck access from the stern into the cockpit.

The saloon makes best use of the yacht’s 18' 5" (5.62m) beam and, with the U-shaped galley to port, creates a spacious and contemporary open-plan living environment, with plenty of counter surfaces and stowage space.

The 655 has a spacious owner’s suite aft, with its own private access to deck, and three guest cabins.
