Description
From the drawing board of the naval architects Mortain and Mavrikios, this design guarantees excellent performance and true seagoing qualities in all conditions. Obelix is a 3-cabin Owner’s Version with the Exclusive finish: teak throughout and Alcantara upholstery.
The previous owners acquired her in 2021 (from the first owner) in France and prepared her for long passages:
- Engines removed for a complete overhaul and repaint.
- Standing rigging replaced.
Subsequent upgrades included a new square-top mainsail, lazy bag, and trampoline in 2024. Starlink and Iridium Go now complete the onboard communication setup.
The current owners purchased her in early 2025 and have continued to invest in improvements, including:
- Upgraded solar array (total 1275W bifacial panels).
- 600Ah lithium phosphate house batteries with Victron Orion charging system.
- Dual-chamber 65L chest freezer/fridge (convertible) in the laundry for additional cold storage.
- Replacement of the compressor and condenser in the main fridge.
- New bridle, anchor and chain.
- New Raymarine Axiom 9 + plotter at the port helm station.
She was hauled out in August 2025 for a full service, including:
- Engine and saildrive servicing.
- Renewal and touch-up of Coppercoat.
- Replacement of saildrive seals and machining of shafts.
- Propeller servicing and application of pellerclean silicone antifoul to saildrives and propellers.
- Complete polish of the hulls.
French Polynesia import taxes are paid, allowing the vessel to remain indefinitely in Polynesian waters.
