Carrera S underwent an extensive and meticulous refit between December 2017 and March 2018 in Auckland, New Zealand, with continuous upgrades through 2022. This yacht presents a rare opportunity for discerning sailors seeking a fast, elegant cruiser with all major systems renewed and upgraded.

This Marten 49 was designed for the owner who wishes to combine the sparkle and excitement of a performance racing yacht with the ability to make fast comfortable passages whilst short handed or whilst cruising. It is designed to be a superb family cruising yacht, a top performer at regattas and be a fast and comfortable passage maker for distance cruising. It is differentiated from other yachts in its class by its detailed design, construction methods, and materials that combine to provide superb performance and unrivalled functionality. 

One of the significant features of this Marten 49 is the hydraulic lifting keel with a maximum draft of 3.6m,  and min 2.1 m (7ft) allowing you to access any marina. This keel design enhances her outstanding upwind performance. The Southern Spar (NZ) mast and boom are carbon fibre, and the running rigging has been constantly maintained. 

Equipped with all the standard cruising features including transom swim platform with ladder, cockpit shower, cockpit dodger, gas barbecue, cockpit table and 2 differing boom shade tents, helm station anchor control and Spectra water maker (USA) installed for blue water cruising in the South Pacific.
