Description
Delphia 40 - registration 2005 | In excellent condition, equipped and ready to sail
We offer for sale a Delphia 40 from 2005, a solid, comfortable, and well-equipped sailing boat, ideal for cruising with a small crew or for medium to long-range navigation. The vessel is in very good condition, with regular maintenance and several important interventions carried out between 2022 and 2024, making it a boat ready for use, with no need for work.
Deck and sailing equipment
Starting from the bow, we find a Delta anchor with a recently serviced electric windlass and chain replaced in 2024. The deck equipment includes furling jib, aluminum mast and boom, adjustable backstay, and stainless steel standing rigging completely replaced in 2022.
The sail plan is complete and updated: the main sail is from 2022, the furling genoa is from 2023 (with UV band), and spare main and genoa sails are also included. The running rigging has been renewed between 2022 and 2023, with dyneema halyards, new sheets, and spare lines (2 ready, one to complete). All the main controls – halyards, spare lines, rigid vang, topping lift – are led to the cockpit, making the boat easily manageable even solo. There are 4 winches, two in the cockpit and two on the cabin top.
The cockpit is well protected by a bimini and at the stern, we find a platform equipped with a shower (hot and cold water) and a swim ladder, ideal for life at anchor.
Engine and systems
A reliable Lombardini 60hp engine is installed on board, with about 1200 total hours, of which 750 were completed in 2022. Maintenance has always been timely, with service every 100-120 hours and extraordinary maintenance performed in 2022. In the same year, a complete saildrive inspection and seal replacement were carried out. The fuel tank has been completely cleaned and washed.
The electrical system is served by two 85Ah AGM service batteries and one AGM VR800 engine battery, with a Quick charger. The interiors are illuminated with LED lights, complemented by halogen reading lights. There is a boiler for hot water, powered both electrically and via engine heat exchanger.
Instrumentation and navigation
The onboard electronics include:
Fixed VHF with masthead antenna
AIS Em-Trak B900, receiver and transmitter, with dedicated antenna
Quark-Elec A033 multiplexer, already integrated with the onboard network and compatible with Navionics
Raymarine instrumentation on the console: autopilot, tridata, and wind
Safety equipment
The boat is equipped with everything necessary for safe navigation:
Life raft for 8 people
6 self-inflating life jackets
6 safety lines
MOB buoy with floating line
Electric and manual bilge pump
Standard equipment for coastal navigation
Interiors and layout
The internal layout is classic and functional: we find 3 cabins, one owner's cabin at the bow with private bathroom, wardrobes, a small sofa, and storage compartments. The two double cabins at the stern are spacious and well-ventilated. The dinette can be converted into a bed, while the galley is equipped with a cockpit fridge, gas stove, and three-way sink (hot, cold, and seawater). There is a second bathroom, in addition to the chart table.
This boat represents a complete solution for those looking for a safe, efficient, and well-maintained cruiser. All major technical components have been updated in recent years, and the vessel is ready to set sail, with no work anticipated in the short term.
