Description
The Outremer 45, designed by Gérard Danson, is one of the iconic cruising catamarans that has marked the history of long-distance sailing. Launched in the early 2000s, this model has established itself as a reference thanks to its unique balance of performance, robustness, and family comfort. Designed to face all oceans, the Outremer 45 attracts demanding sailors with its lightness, reliability, and ability to maintain high averages, far superior to comparable multihulls and monohulls. A true bestseller of the brand, it remains a sought-after model for long voyages today.
PASOP, Outremer 45 Danson generation, vintage 2002, serial number 12, stands out with its extended skirts that improve ergonomics and comfort on board. This catamaran is in very good condition and ready to set sail around the world. Its family layout offers 4 double cabins and two bathrooms, a spacious saloon with recent upholstery, and a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for long-term living. In terms of propulsion, it is equipped with two well-maintained Yanmar 3GM30 engines, FLEXOFOIL folding propellers, and large capacity diesel tanks. The rigging was completely renewed in 2019 with a 2023 Hydranet DELTA VOILE square-top mainsail, a self-tacking genoa of the same generation, and a complete set of sails for all points of sail.
On deck, there is a rigid bimini with water collector, a cockpit dressed in teak, a recent electric windlass, a Highfield 340 dinghy with a Honda 20 hp engine (2023), as well as complete safety equipment including an 8-person liferaft. The electronics are reliable and functional, including Furuno radar, AIS, GPS, hydraulic autopilot, and Raymarine display at the helm. Power is provided by 4 "new" (2023) 100 Ah lithium batteries, three 180 W solar panels, new alternators and regulators (2025), ensuring autonomy and peace of mind. Finally, onboard comfort is enhanced by a Dessalator D60 12V watermaker and large freshwater capacities.
