Description
GIBIAN is the first of the hugely successful Wally 100 line and represents a rare opportunity to own an icon from the yard’s early era. Launched in 2000 in Fano, Italy, she was designed by Germán Frers, whose performance hulls have shaped more than 170 superyachts. The Wally build team combined a lightweight composite structure with raised saloon, Southern Spars carbon mast and furling boom to achieve a timeless looking, versatile performance-cruiser.
The result is a 30-meter sailing yacht built for fast, efficient passage making and equally comfortable coastal cruising. GIBIAN has been consistently maintained since launch by the same captain and engineer, with low hours on her Caterpillar engine and new generator added to a strong technical record that keeps her in excellent operational condition.
BROKER‘S COMMENTS
GIBIAN is more than just a yacht; she is a testament to Italian craftsmanship and timeless elegance, spanning 30.45 meters of pure maritime sophistication. Built by the renowned Wally shipyard and launched in 2000, she is one of only four exclusive 100 models, each designed to harmonize beauty, performance, and innovation.
Crafted by iconic naval architect German Frers, GIBIAN commands the water with a unique blend of grace and strength. Her refined composite construction ensures both durability and optimal performance, promising exhilarating sails and the unmistakable ease of handling that Wally yachts are celebrated for.
Onboard, GIBIAN reveals interiors that radiate modern sophistication—a stylish vision brought to life through the collaboration between her discerning owner and the Wally design team. Every detail, from the open spaces to the artisanal finishes, invites relaxation while embodying understated luxury.
GIBIAN is an experience, an invitation to explore the world’s waters with finesse. Whether basking in the Mediterranean sun or embracing the thrill of open-sea sailing, she offers her next owner not just a vessel, but a lifestyle that elegantly blends adventure and refinement.
CONSTRUCTION
Constructed in Italy, GIBIAN was launched in 2000 in the picturesque town of Fano, marking the beginning of her illustrious journey on the open seas. Following rigorous sea trials, she was delivered to her proud owner, ready to embrace adventures that await.
Her hull, meticulously crafted from high-quality composite materials, while the superstructure mirrors this commitment to excellence, predominantly built with the same refined composite.
INTERIOR AND ACCOMMODATION
The interiors of GIBIAN have been masterfully designed to combine refined aesthetics with practical functionality, offering a harmonious blend of comfort, privacy, and performance. The yacht’s layout is intuitively divided between the owner’s and guests’ quarters aft, and the crew quarters forward, ensuring optimal flow and discreet service at all times.
At the aft, the owner’s suite and guest cabins enjoy serene privacy, surrounded by soft natural light and understated elegance. Centrally located, the main salon acts as the social heart of the yacht, inviting guests to relax, dine, or navigate in a space that feels both open and intimate.
GIBIAN's raised saloon was not a common feature of previous or later Wally designs and allows a saloon with a special connection and views to the sea.
Forward, the crew quarters are designed with efficiency and autonomy in mind, allowing for seamless operations during both coastal cruising and long ocean passage.
