Description
SPELLBOUND has spent most of her time in the blue waters of the Bahamas. She features a two cabin design with ensuite heads and walk-in showers. There is a walkaround queen in the aft cabin and port side double berth in the forward cabin, ideal for hosting guests. A spacious interior offers nearly 7 feet of headroom throughout. This is a solid ocean cruising design & build yet configured to be easily sailed with a crew of two-or singlehanded for those so inclined.
ln 2015, a lightning strike resulted in new standing rigging, Raymarine navigation and control systems, replacement of most motors and pumps, radios, and inspection, barrier coating and bottom coating below the waterline.
A new prop shaft including new cutlass bearing, new PSS shaft seal, and repair of 4 bladed prop were installed. The Raymarine Depth/ Speed/Temperature through hull sensor was replaced as well. Multiple electrical system upgrades were made to enhance the off-grid needs of cruising sailors. This includes two arch mounted solar panels feeding a MPPT solar controller. A high output Balmar Altemator with external voltage regulator supports rapid battery charging when the sun does not shine. A 2000 watt Xantrax inverter/battery charger provides 120 VAC to onboard receptacles.
There is a Fisher-Panda generator under the forward berth which is inoperable. We never replaced it while we were living aboard and cruising even while nearly all of our time was spent at anchor or on moorings as it was not critical for our usage. This boat continues to be very well maintained including repairs, replacements, and upgrades to systems and components.
Many spares are included such as a starter, alternator, macerator pump, engine water pump, filters and pump impellers.
An additional 15 gal water tank with level transmitter is included but not installed. The space was converted to a wine cellar.
She is ready to go cruising with the usual personal items added. Her berth in a highly sought after hurricane hole/upscale marina in Ft. Pierce, Florida can be transferred to the new owners!
