Description

Inspired by “Vendredi 13”, a 39m schooner designed by Dick Carter and launched in 1972 to race the famous Ostar Race from Plymouth (England) to Newport – RI in USA, she was launched in 1994 under the name of Friday Star with an exterior design of Scorpio Marine and a naval architecture of Marc Lombard.

She became YAMAKAY in 2014 when being fully transformed into a luxury sailing yacht with a new contemporary design made by Couedel Hugon who created a strong identity, sober and pure by using carbon fibre, aluminium, leather and mat wood.

Her flush deck offers large areas of sunbathing when cruising.

The three-mast sail architecture is based on a hydraulic furling system with all commands centralised in the cockpit making her an easy boat to sail with a limited crew.
