Description

A beautifully maintained and extensively refitted example of the celebrated Baltic 48 performance cruiser, designed and built in Finland to the highest standards of craftsmanship and seaworthiness.

Overview

Aldabra is an outstanding example of the Baltic 48DP, a model renowned for her balance between high-performance sailing and comfortable long-distance cruising.
Lovingly restored between 2024 and 2025, she remains faithful to the original specification while incorporating carefully chosen upgrades that enhance both reliability and sailing pleasure.
Now in excellent turn-key condition, she is fully equipped and ready to go anywhere.

Sailing performance is exceptional, particularly to windward.
All cruising sails are handled easily from the aft cockpit with four self-tailing Lewmar winches, while in race mode, the forward cockpit with 3-speed Lewmar 65s comes into play.
All winches were serviced within the last year.
The large leather-covered wheel offers light, precise steering, and the twin cockpit arrangement allows perfect versatility for both cruising and performance sailing.

Four spacious cockpit lockers accommodate an outboard engine, jerry cans, fenders, removable cockpit table, spare anchor, water toys, lines, and two gas bottles for the galley stove.
The teak deck, recaulked in 2024, remains in beautiful condition.

Accommodation

Below deck, Aldabra offers sleeping accommodation for up to eight guests.
The owner’s stateroom aft features a centreline double berth, abundant storage, a vanity table, and a private head with shower.
Forward of the mast are two guest cabins, each with direct access to the forward head, plus two additional passage bunks to starboard.
All berths have lee cloths and individual reading lights.
New upholstery and curtains (2024) complement the warm teak interior, and original lighting fixtures have been converted to LED.

The saloon features an octagonal seating area with an adjustable table to port and a well-equipped navigation station to starboard.
The galley, to starboard of the companionway, includes a 3-burner stainless-steel cooker with oven, extractor hood, large DC refrigerator, and double sink with pressurised hot and cold water.
A 25-litre Nautic Boiler (2024) provides both engine and electric heating for domestic water.
