Description

Overview

The Hallberg‑Rassy 49 is a classic bluewater cruising yacht, produced from 1982 to 1997, with 89 hulls built. Designed by Olle Enderlein (with input from Christoph Rassy), it later incorporated German Frers-design studio refinements  . This yacht is renowned for its rugged Scandinavian construction, ample storage, and spacious layout ideal for world‑wide cruising and long‑term liveaboard use  . A review in Yachting Magazine hails it as “a yachtman’s yacht” offering comfort both on deck and below, and excellent handling on all points of sail  .

Interior & systems

The interior layout typically includes multiple cabins, generous storage, a full‑size galley, and comfortable salon area—designed for ease of extended cruising  . Broker listings often feature upgrades such as teak decking, electric furling sails and winches, and modern electronics—showing how the hull is well-suited to customization and liveaboard comfort  .
