Description

The Stevens 40 was designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built by Queen Long Shipyard (Hylas) to be a high-quality, comfortable, center-cockpit cruiser capable of going anywhere.  She features a modified fin keel, encapsulated ballast, skeg-hung rudder, cutter rig, and a stunning two-stateroom interior with abundant storage and tankage - regarded by many as the ideal configuration for liveaboard cruising and offshore sailing.  The original brochure says it best:

"She is a swift and steady performer under all points of sail and built to rugged standards more than adequate for maximum security in any sea condition. A fine yacht designed for today's cruising yachtsman or charterer."

Estella is one of seven Stevens 40's built.  She was equipped by the current owner with a circumnavigation in mind, and as such she has redundant systems throughout, an updated Yanmar engine, solar & wind, a full canvas enclosure, loads of spare parts and more.  If you're ready to head to the islands or beyond, Estella should be on your list.

Accommodations

Below decks Estella has luxurious accommodations with a master stateroom aft and a large guest cabin forward, each with private head and shower. There are two roomy convertible bunks in the main salon and a spacious galley and dining area. Updated upholstery complement the warm glow of varnished teak used in the joiner work and cabinetry.
