Description

The Truman 30, designed by Angus Primrose is basically an up market Moody 30. The fit out of these boats is much better quality and she has stood the test of time accordingly. This is a robust cruising yacht with 7 berths, ideal for a family but easy to sail short handed too.

They don't come up often as only 7 were built!

Hull, deck & superstructure

The manufacturers words

  • The hull and deck are built well above minimum specifications. Strong woven roving fibreglass layers are used in both.
  • The saloon roof is balsa cored for rigidity and insulation.
  • The hull and deck are bonded together and through fastened with no less than 130 stainless steel bolts.
  • A traditional cast iron ballast keel is fixed with massive keel bolts which provides a tough level keel for drying out.

  • Original gelcoat cream hull with painted Grey deck edge stripe.
  • Cream textured non slip deck with raised aluminium toerail.

  • There is a section of the table which is either configured for dinning or used to fill the gap for the double berth with use of an additional extension piece.
  • Outboard to starboard is further shelved storage.
  • Deck head opening hatch and two coachroof side windows.

Galley

  • Aft to port.
  • Round stainless steel sink with hot and cold water via a mixer tap.
  • Large refrigerated cold storage box with Isotherm refrigeration unit.
  • Storage - Outboard are shelves with sliding door access. A drawer and door fronted lockers beneath the work surface. Dedicated cup and crockery storage at the aft bulkhead. Plenty of work surface which is extended with a cover piece over the cooker.
  • Plastimo Neptune 2000 stainless steel gimballed gas cooker with 2 burners, grill and oven.
