Islander Mk Ii

I've spent the past 4 years bringing this boat back to life. She is finally ready to do some serious coastal cruising. I had plans to spend a few months at Catalina and the Channel Islands this summer and then head to Mexico in the fall. An opportunity came up to purchase another boat to start circumnavigating so I had to take it.

I'm bummed I need to sell her now but that's just how the timing worked out. The following is list of some of the upgrades and features on the boat that I have added. There are a few cosmetic interior projects I didn't quite have time to finish and I also have all supplies needed to paint the entire hull which I'll include in the purchase. My slip at Driscoll MB is also available to be transferred as long as your application is accepted. My slip fee is $495 a month which is about as cheap as you will find in San Diego.

The boat was hualed out at the end of June and I put on 2 new coats of bottom paint and also changed 3 through hull fittings with ball valves to True Design composites.

1976 Islander MKII 30 feet

Major refit Oct 2020

-New standing rigging installed. All new wire, tangs, turnbuckles, pins ect. New forestay chainplates.
-Mast sanded and painted. Installed conduit for wiring. New LED tricolor, anchor, VHF antenna, deck light.
-New Harken MKII Genoa furler.
-All running rigging replaced
-Installed Dyneema Life lines
-Entire topside refurbished. All cracks ground out, epoxy filled and faired. Top side painted.
-Leaking/crazed windows removed and replaced with high quality tinted plexiglass.
-Leaking toe rail bolts rebed. Deck hull joint sealed with 3m 4200 in most areas.
-New US spars boom with gooseneck installed
-Reefing line, Topping lift and Outhaul all run through boom to cockpit
-Old traveler removed and replaced with wood cored carbon fiber support with Harken traveler
-New boom vang
