The engine was professionally checked and maintained in 2025. With a cruising speed of approximately 10 km/h and a maximum speed of 12 km/h, the ship is suitable for relaxing trips on inland waters. The fuel consumption is around 2 liters per hour, making the ship efficient in use. The fuel tank has a capacity of 60 liters, and the water tank holds 50 liters of fresh water.The steering is done via a tiller in the open cockpit, providing direct control and an authentic sailing experience. The Grundel is equipped with a single rudder and leeboards, contributing to stability and maneuverability, even at lower speeds or in shallow water.Navigation and Electrical InstallationIn terms of navigation, the ship is equipped with a GPS, VHF radio, depth meter, speedometer, compass, and log. The navigation lights still need to be connected, as well as the GPS. The electrical installation consists of an alternator, shore power connection, voltmeter, and two batteries of 100 Ah each. The voltage on board is 12v and 220v.
