Description
1974 C&C 35 Mk II – Classic Performance Cruiser with Thoughtful Modern Upgrades
This 1972 C&C 35 Mk I is a true classic—well regarded for its graceful lines, solid construction, and excellent sailing performance. Lovingly updated over the years, this vessel blends timeless design with modern conveniences, making her an exceptional opportunity for sailors seeking a capable and character-rich cruiser.
She carries a full inventory of sails, including a jib, genoa, spinnaker, and mainsail, offering versatility for a wide range of sailing conditions. Significant custom deck modifications have been completed, with all running rigging thoughtfully led aft to the cockpit and paired with modern self-tailing winches, greatly enhancing safety and ease of handling whether sailing short-handed or solo.
Forward, a retractable bowsprit adds both functionality and elegance, complemented by an electric windlass installed in 2023—never used—providing modern anchoring convenience. Below decks, the interior has been enhanced with custom woodwork and headliner updates, adding warmth and character. Some headliner sections are currently being addressed, allowing the next owner the opportunity to finish these final touches to their taste.
The head is spotless and has never been used, reflecting the care this vessel has received. Power is provided by a modern Yanmar 30 HP diesel engine installed in 2015, delivering reliable and efficient performance.
The current owner has cared for this vessel since 2003, but with age, their sailing days have come to an end. She is now offered in search of a good home—one that will appreciate her classic beauty, proven design, and the thoughtful upgrades that make her both functional and distinctive.
A rare opportunity to own a beautifully upgraded classic with enduring appeal.
Please note she is currently on the hard over winter 2026 and will most likely not be launched in spring, remaining on the hard for your surveys and inspections. Located in Toronto. Recent survey in 2022 Available.
