Description
The CORABIA is a fully renovated classic cruiser/racer.
The CORABIA is a fully renovated classic cruiser/racer. The beautiful classic lines and long overhangs will appeal to many sailors. We are looking for a new owner for this ship who will bring it back to the water and who can also take over the careful maintenance from the current owner. In return, you will receive a perfectly maintained ship that has undergone a complete refit in recent years. The corten steel hull has been completely painted with a modern paint system.
History
CORABIA was built in 1957 for Mr. Kars from Rotterdam to participate in the Dutch Admirals Cup races in 1957, 1961, and 1963. After the premature death of its owner, it was sold to the Royal Marine Yacht Club and was owned there for many years. It continued to participate in many sailing races and won several prizes. In the 1980s and 1990s, during the ownership of Mr. Jongerius, it made a trip to Scotland, the Faroe Islands, and to Iceland. Since 2000, the current owner has had CORABIA professionally restored. After the restoration, it has sailed several times to Scandinavia and England. In recent years, it has also been successful on the classic racing circuit with several first places again.
