Description
Overview
Karma is one of the only Nordhavn 63s built with a four‑cabin layout. She combines the robust, go‑anywhere capability for which Nordhavn yachts are renowned with the luxury and comfort of a professionally refitted interior. The 2025 refit renewed the soft goods and interior appointments: all headliners were recovered, custom Ultraleather cushions with thicker foam were fitted throughout, Hunter Douglas blinds were installed on all windows, and new custom mattresses were added. The result is a warm, inviting interior finished in cherry and teak wood that feels fresh and modern while retaining the yacht’s classic appeal.
The current owner has also invested heavily in Karma’s systems and equipment. Her commercial‑grade electronics suite now includes dual redundant navigation PCs running TimeZero software, a new Seatronix touchscreen monitor, an upgraded Furuno SC‑70 satellite compass, and a reorganized NMEA 2000 network providing independent, dual redundancy for the autopilot systems. A high‑performance Starlink dish ensures global connectivity and the Dockmate remote throttle and thruster controller allows precision docking from anywhere. Outside, the outdoor lighting was upgraded to stainless‑steel fixtures, the raw‑water sea strainers were replaced with bronze Groco units, and a new Highfield SP360 tender with Yamaha 40 outboard sits securely in custom chocks.
From her John Deere main and wing engines to the complete ABT TRAC hydraulic package, Karma is mechanically ready for serious passagemaking. She is U.S. duty paid and maintained with Vessel Vanguard software that tracks over 100 systems, routine procedures, electronic manuals and a complete spare‑parts inventory. With her thoughtful upgrades, Karma offers turn‑key readiness and the capability to take her new owners safely and comfortably anywhere in the world.

General Layout
Entry to Karma is through the cockpit/aft salon Dutch door. The salon floor is finished in teak and spruce, imparting a warm and inviting feel. A three‑piece high gloss cherry dining table and settee are to starboard and a matching settee to port seats eight people comfortably with the TV and audio/visual components to stern.
The open galley forward of the salon allows the chef to remain connected with family and guests. A generous center island topped in light Caesarstone houses a double stainless‑steel sink, built‑in dishwasher and deep drawers, while overhead vertical‑grain cherry lockers provide abundant storage.
Forward of the dining area, a stairway leads up to the wheelhouse. Beneath these stairs is access to the utility room and engine room. A hallway to starboard leads past the main electrical distribution panel to the owner and guest staterooms. The owner’s stateroom to port features a queen bed and ensuite head. Across the hall is a guest cabin with over/under single bunks set at a 90‑degree offset. Just forward is the day head with FRP shower. The forward guest stateroom at the bow provides port and starboard single berths with pipe berths above and abundant storage. A hatch in the cabin sole accesses the forward machinery space housing the watermaker, hot water heater, pumps and hydraulic components.
The utility room, forward of the engine room, contains a separate washer and dryer, additional freezer, lockers and drawers, vanity with sink, single berth for overflow sleeping and the engine room door with viewing window.
From the salon, a curved stairway leads up to the pilothouse, which has two Stidd helm chairs, an L‑shaped settee and table, and an aft captain’s cabin with full head. The wheelhouse dash spans the full beam, placing navigation instruments within easy reach at both port and starboard chart tables.
Salon
Karma’s asymmetrical interior layout makes the most of her 18‑foot beam while still providing a secure side deck with deep bulwark to starboard. Upon entering from the cockpit, the vertical‑grain cherry joinery and teak–spruce flooring are complemented by the 2025 upgrades: new Hunter Douglas blinds and replaced headliner panels, along with Ultraleather cushions with upgraded foam for both the L‑shaped dinette to starboard and the port settee. Generous windows on both sides and the aft bulkhead flood the salon with natural light, and the aft Dutch door also features upper and lower windows for ventilation.
- Three‑piece high‑gloss cherry dinette table with removable center leaf
- Crescent‑shaped Ultraleather settee with seating for four to five; two matching ottomans double as extra seats
- Portside settee upholstered in matching Ultraleather with custom cushions and new foam (2025)
- Multiple windows with custom Hunter Douglas blinds (2025)
- Aft Dutch door with windows above and below for ventilation
- Two overhead stainless‑steel handrails
Galley
The forward open galley keeps the chef involved with the salon. Two Sub‑Zero refrigerators with freezer drawers and ice makers provide ample cold storage for long passages, and an extra freezer is located in the utility room. New Hunter Douglas blinds carry the updated look into the galley. High‑end appliances and robust storage make this space ideal for preparing gourmet meals.
- GE induction cooktop and oven

- Bosch ultra‑quiet dishwasher
- GE trash compactor
- Caesarstone countertops
Owner’s Stateroom
The owner’s stateroom to port features a queen berth fitted with a custom mattress and abundant storage in lockers and drawers. Two oval portlights provide natural light, while stainless‑steel deadlights offer complete privacy when desired. Teak and spruce flooring completes this inviting retreat.
Owner’s Head
The ensuite owner’s head includes a granite‑topped vanity with ceramic sink and Hans Grohe fixtures. The Tecma Silence Plus freshwater toilet features an integral macerator to simplify black‑tank evacuation and minimize clogging. A fully enclosed FRP shower completes the space.
Guest Staterooms
Forward of the owner’s cabin is a full head for guests, followed by the forward guest stateroom. This cabin features port and starboard extra-long single bunks with custom mattresses (2025). Four opening portlights and two overhead hatches with Oceanair insect and shade screens provide light and ventilation. Storage lockers and drawers are abundant, including a half‑height hanging locker. The sole is teak and spruce, and a hatch in the sole accesses the forward machinery space.
A midship guest stateroom opposite the owner’s stateroom features over/under single bunks set at a 90‑degree offset, an opening portlight and teak–spruce flooring.
Wheelhouse
The pilothouse is a superb gathering space underway, allowing everyone to share the cruising experience. The settee accommodates four to five guests and enjoys panoramic views. Twin Stidd helm chairs place all controls within easy reach. The instrument dash includes three monitors displaying radar, chart plotter, camera feeds, depth and other navigation data. Redundancy for essential information is built in through the dual navigation PCs, reconfigured NMEA 2000 network and the Furuno SC‑70 satellite compass. New Hunter Douglas blinds (2025) and replaced headliners freshen the pilothouse (2025), while the captain’s cabin has a double berth with custom mattress (2025), storage and a full head with shower.
On Deck
Three control stations - port and starboard wing stations outside the pilothouse and an aft cockpit station - offer excellent visibility and control for docking. All stations include thruster controls, main engine control, engine start/stop buttons and windlass controls. The long foredeck accommodates up to a 16‑foot tender, and the Steelhead 1,500 lb. davit extends from 11 ft to 16 ft to handle the tender easily. In 2025, 22 deck lights and three overhead lights were upgraded to stainless‑steel fixtures. The aft boat deck, covered by a stainless‑steel‑framed awning wrapped in navy blue Stamoid, offers a comfortable space for outdoor dining and relaxation.
Mechanical
Karma is configured with a single main propulsion engine and an auxiliary wing engine. The John Deere main engine is keel cooled with a dry‑stack exhaust, and the John Deere wing engine is raw‑water cooled.
