Exterior Overview
The Krogen 52' has an asymmectrical deck arrangement. The port side of the main deck is pushed all the way to the sheer. The starboard side has a very wide walk around and hip-high bulwark, and there is an aluminum Dutch door to the galley. The side deck and aft deck are fully covered with a solid teak sole.
There are molded fiberglass steps leading forward from the starboard side deck to the Portuguese bridge and foredeck. There are wing stations port and starboard to make easy work of close quarters maneuvering, and there is generous storage in the Portuguese bridge itself. There are aluminum Dutch doors port and starboard to the pilothouse, and there is a wide door leading to the foredeck. The foredeck has seating/storage immediately forward of the Portugues bridge, high bulwarks and stainless steel rails for added safety. There is a Freeman aluminum hatch to the port side of the bow pulpit giving access to the chain locker and storage.
Going aft from the port side of the pilothouse are molded steps leading up to the boat deck and flybridge, again, with high stainless steel rails all around. The tender and hydraulic crane are on the boat deck as is the summer kitchen and access to the under flybridge storage. Molded fiberglass steps lead up to the flybridge with L-shaped seating and table, twin Stidd chairs and upper helm
Saloon
The saloon is entered through double weather-tight aluminum doors. The natural light and ventilation is abundant by virture of large opening screened windows to port, starboard, and aft. There is also a retractable screen for the entry doors. There are custom shades and valences for all of the windows.
To starboard is a large L-shaped settee with expandable hi-lo free standing table. The Samsung flat-scree TV rises from behind the settee. To port are two (2) leather recliners. There is generous storage throughout the saloon. Matching granite is used on all horizontal surfaces.
