Sea Ray's 280 Sundancer is a well proven example of a luxury express cruiser. This boat has many nice options and shows well. This spacious express brings a level of comfort rare for a vessel her size. From her party-sized cockpit to her roomy double cabins below, you'll find she's easy to live with, both above and below decks.
Lots of manufacturers build mid-cabin express cruisers, but few have been at it as long as Sea Ray and fewer still do it better. This is the fourth in a series of 28' Sundancer models Sea Ray has produced since 1985, and an extended 30-inch swim platform makes this the longest of the pack. Like her predecessors, this Sundancer rides on a deep-V hull with moderate beam and a solid fiberglass bottom. The layout below includes a dinette that converts into a berth, along with an enclosed head and shower, and of course a mid-berth aft. Privacy curtains separate the sleeping areas from the main cabin which is highlighted by three overhead hatches and attractive burlwood cabinetry. The cockpit comes with a wet bar and a removable table in addition to a fore-and-aft facing bench seats, and the entire cockpit sole raises on hydraulic rams to reveal the engine compartment. The stylish tiered helm is particularly well arranged. An efficient and powerful Mercruiser 496 MAG with 375HP sends this boat forward with authority.
