Disclaimer
The Cantiere was founded in the early 1950s in Naples thanks to the genius of Salvatore Gagliotta, a motor and boating enthusiast. Not yet thirty, in the tuff caves of Mergellina, he created the first prototypes of fast boats.
In those years, Salvatore Gagliotta created a series of Hunt-type hulls that would represent, in the years to come, the strong point of his boats. These hulls, due to their strong innovative charge, quickly caught the attention of the young affluent of Naples, who, in addition to speed and quality materials, also demanded high comfort and excellent finishing for their boats.
In the following years, production transformed from amateur to semi-industrial, maintaining its vocation for fast, safe, and comfortable boats and conquering an increasingly extensive market, aided by the brilliant results achieved in offshore races.
From the 1970s to 2000
Between 1970 and the early 2000s, the CAMARO GAGLIOTTA line represented a reference point for designers and sea enthusiasts. Among the most successful models from the yard, we find the Camaro Sport; the Camaro CM; the Camaro SG; the Camaro 31; the Camaro 32; the Camaro Tris; the Camaro Even; the Camaro 43.
In 2000, the Fisherman line was born, in collaboration with architect Stefano Mango. The first model was the Gagliotta 37, initially called Gagliardo, then the Gagliotta 32, followed by the 44, and finally the 52.
