The "Limited Edition" Maxum 46-LE offers "European Sport Cruiser" styling, layout, and elegance, at a fraction of the cost...with the simplicity and reliability of an American boat builder! This yacht offers a tremendous value for the dollar, which you will find unbeatable in her price range.
This highly desirable "LE" is an upgraded version of the popular Maxum 46. The interior is quite grand in comparison, with a stunning, high-gloss cherry finish, luxurious fabrics, and black Corian countertops. The fit and finish is several steps above the standard model...you will hardly believe it is the same boat! The LE has a lot more "sizzle" and improvements that were lacking in the original version.
Introduced in 2001, upgrades of the "LE" model included a fiberglass hardtop on the bridge, higher horsepower 450 Cummins, dripless shaft seals, Airsep filtration systems, 110V power inverter, a larger 12.5KW genset, and Microcommander Electronic engine controls. The enclosed flybridge provides a whole extra "room" of living space, as the hardtop provides better protection from heat, cold, or rain. The standard Maxum 46 has relatively sluggish performance, cruising at 15-16 knots, with a 370 Cummins. The LE's twin 450's provide a more spirited cruise around 20 knots, and top speed around 23-24, depending upon load. She has always been pampered and lightly used, with only 670 hours logged on here, reliable Cummins 450s. She is well equipped with all the desirable amenities. Galley
The galley is forward and to port of the salon, and opposite the dinette table, so the cook can keep in the conversation with guests. The countertops are a Corian/Avonite, with a dramatic black-granite finish. The durable vinyl flooring looks like real teak and holly. There is ample storage

Accommodations
The Maxum 46 features the elegant styling and popular floor plan of an imported "Euro" sport-cruiser, at a fraction of the cost. The salon and cockpit are adjoining, expanding the main living area on one convenient level.
The interior is immaculately clean and lightly used. She is a "9" on a 10 scale for a 2001 model.
The SALON has a C-shaped leather settee with a table, and the entertainment center is opposite. To port is a flat-screen TV/DVD. The Bluetooth controller allows stereo control from anywhere on the boat! Underneath is a U-Line icemaker, which gets cold but does not make ice. The overhead has contoured soffits with recessed halogen lighting. Some lights are on dimmer switches, so set the mood just right. Additional features include a high-gloss cherry finish on the cabinetry, reverse-cycle air/heat, pleated shades, and a central vacuum system.
The RAISED DINETTE is forward to starboard. It allows guests to enjoy 360-degree views while dining in climate-controlled comfort. It can also convert to a berth. There is teak and holly flooring under the dinette.
The MASTER STATEROOM is forward and features a queen-sized island berth, ample lighting and ventilation, a flat screen TV (2014), and plenty of storage. There is a separate air/heat unit for year-round comfort. This AC unit was replaced with a new one in the summer of 2016.
The ensuite HEAD has a separate stall shower (with bath-tub!) Corian type sink, mirrored medicine cabinet, exhaust fan, an opening port, and a Vacuflush head system.
The GUEST STATEROOM has two side-by-side single berths, which can be converted to one king-size berth. There is one large hanging locker. There are reading lights above each berth. The utility/pump room is accessed through a panel on the inboard bulkhead.
The GUEST HEAD has a separate stall shower, a vacu-flush head, and a Corian-type sink. Additional features include a porthole for natural ventilation, an exhaust fan, a mirrored cabinet, and quality towel racks and hardware.
