Moonen 68

This Moonen 68 'Rio Grande' was built for a very experienced owner from the professional shipping industry. At the owner's request during construction, the ship was made soundproof after an acoustic study by Van Cappellen, resulting in the ship being exceptionally well insulated and quiet. The current and third owner of the Rio Grande had a flybridge manufactured in 2021, creating a beautiful additional seating area and an extra helm station with all basic functions. The flybridge was designed and built by renowned Dutch companies in shipbuilding. On board, in addition to the 20 folders from Moonen from the construction, there are also 2 new folders documenting the refit and construction of the flybridge. All drawings and calculations are included. During the 2021 refit, the following work was carried out: the entire ship was reupholstered, mattresses renewed, an extra child bed added in the starboard forepeak, all lighting replaced with LED lighting, interior sun shading / blinds installed, AIS Class A & navigation equipment replaced with PC Navigo, engine controls and actuators replaced (Aventics / Bosch / Rexroth), a completely new flybridge installed with benches and a windscreen, a second helm station placed on the flybridge, extra tender supports installed at the rear for Williams Sport 395 (not included), a new kitchen installed in the wheelhouse with refrigerator/cooktop/sink/cabinet space, kitchen/dinette below deck refitted, new tent around the cockpit, new sails and exterior sun shading, teak decks restored/cleaned/sanded where necessary, bulwarks and exterior woodwork revarnished, stabilizers overhauled, propeller shafts and propellers balanced, all pumps fitted with new seals, hydrophore and pump renewed, water tank cleaned. This Moonen 68 is equipped with: a camera system with views of the engine room/swimming platform/reverse/starboard & port gangway, trolling function on the engine controls that reduces stationary speed and enhances the hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, a storage cellar in the forepeak, spare parts on board for the most vital parts of the technology, only 3 main shut-off valves in the entire hull which can be centrally switched on and off in the wheelhouse, 4 x passage in the side railing, high-gloss lacquered railing all around, stainless steel fender holders around the deck, anchor locker and storage in the forepeak recently painted, hydraulic capstans on the fore and aft deck, 2 x electrically adjustable helm seats, blinds in the wheelhouse and salon, central vacuum system, 2 x heating units in the ceiling on the aft deck, WiFi router for internet on board, Miele washing machine, Miele dryer, waste compactor, Miele dishwasher in the galley, hydraulic folding mast, air draft with mast approximately 7.80m and with folded mast approximately 6.13m.
