Sonship
Sonship is truly a special yacht within the West Bay family. She was purchased by the owners of West Bay and thoughtfully modified to the founder’s personal preferences, resulting in a vessel that represents the purest expression of the Sonship design concept. As detailed in West Bay’s history and philosophy, Sonship’s are designed as serious offshore motor yachts, blending robust construction, refined interiors and long-range cruising capability. Sonship embodies that vision in every respect. Measuring 80 feet overall with a 19-foot beam, she features a solid fiberglass hull along with a flybridge configuration that emphasizes both seaworthiness and comfort. Over the past few years, Sonship has benefitted from multiple refits and continuous upgrades including major performance enhancements, mechanical improvements and interior and exterior refinements making her a standout turnkey offering in her class.

Main Salon
Bright Comfortable and Designed for Entertaining
The Main Salon is finished in light clear coated interior woodwork that creates an open and inviting atmosphere with large windows provide excellent natural light and ventilation the salon features a L-shaped settee with additional seating making it ideal space for entertaining and relaxing it anchor an entertainment center completes the space while carpeting and soft furnishings add warmth and comfort.
Galley/Dinette
The galley and dinette are arranged forward in the pilothouse area creating a functional and social layout well suited for cruising. Appliances include a propane range, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, trash compactor and sink disposal. Storage is abundant with quality cabinetry and durable countertops designed for life at sea. Exterior Decks and Flybridge
Extensively Enhanced for Usability and Comfort
Exterior spaces aboard Sonship have been significantly enhanced through multiple refits. A custom 6-foot cockpit was added, complete with storage lockers, deck lockers and a live bait well making the yacht equally capable for fishing or cruising. The aft deck was extended, teak decking was reworked and additional seating and tender deck coverage were added.
The flybridge offers excellent visibility and multiple helm controls while recent upgrades include a three-sided aft deck enclosure, infrared overhead heaters and LED lighting throughout. A propane BBQ, teak deck furniture and polished teak cap rails make outdoor entertaining a pleasure in any climate.

Spring 2018 refit:
Added custom 6-foot cockpit to vessel with storage lockers and deck lockers and live well.
Added 6 feet to the vessel keel.
Added 500 gallons of fuel to vessel with transfer pump in the lazarette.
Added bulbus bow to the hull designed by Pat Bray.
Extended the aft deck by 2 feet and reworked teak decking.
Extended the aft tender deck by 2 feet to cover aft deck bench seat.
Added new teak decking in the cockpit.
Installed new life raft to CB deck.
Added new cabinet to CB to accommodate deep freezer.
Added new propane BBQ to aft deck.
Updated rope lighting and others to LED.
Replaced cutlass bearings.
Modified Stabilizer fins to 8 sq ft.
Supplied new 5 bladder props.
Replaced hydraulic and steering oil coolers.
Added new Hydraulic trim tab system.

Added new galley sink disposal.
Installed new MMC troll actuator w/ shift cable with shaft speed indicator at aft deck with chart display repeater monitor.

Added new aft deck infer-red overhead heaters.
Added new inverters / charger Victron with batter monitor in pilot house.
Spring service 2023:
Replaced house battery bank with 16 Lead Carbon L 16's
Rebuilt pilot house dash with new Garmin 24" display and equipment and new radar.
Spring service 2024:
Added new CB ice maker and cabinet.
Installed new galley propane range.
Replaced 8kw genes with a 12kw Norther Lights generator.
Replaced tender cover with new white Stamoid cover.
Spring Service 2025:
Renewed bottom paint with epoxy barrier coat with 3 coats of black micron CSC paint.
Installed new 3-sided cockpit enclosure black stamped with bonded windows.
Installed new fan to evacuate BBG on aft deck.
Installed new 60 HP Yamaha outboard on tender.
