Description
SIS is a great example of the highly sought after Little Harbor Express 36. The classic downeast lines, performance, and seakeeping of the collaboration between Ted Hood and Ray Hunt, are exquisitely crafted into every piece of old growth teak, stainless steel, fiberglass and fibric. The Little Harbor 36 is a true semi-custom yacht from bow to stern.
Yard maintained at the direction of her knowledgeable and experienced owners. SIS benefits greatly from the maintenance and upgrades performed while she winters in indoor comfort. Such projects as new engines (Twin Cummins 5.9 Liter, 250 HP, 258 hours), electronics by Garmin, brightwork detailing, props, shafts and cutlass bearings. All cushions and finishes show like new.
Accommodations
The spacious interior layout features a large v berth, galley, dinette and head. SIS has the added benefit of a separate shower in the head compartment as well as plenty of drawer and hanging locker storage space throughout.
Starting forward, there is a large v berth with filler, providing ample room for 2 to sleep on comfort. Plenty of fresh air and light is provided by the foredeck hatch and opening ports. Draws, lockers below the berth, and outboard, offer great storage.
Port side: Next aft to port is a large hanging locker and seat, with 3 drawers beneath, followed by a comfortable, raised dinette, with more storage outboard and beneath. The dinette converts into a nice double berth.
Starboard side: Galley with sink, large refrigerated ice box, microwave oven, shelf, locker, and 3 drawers. Then head compartment with separate shower.
Interior is finely crafted old growth teak, with a fine satin varnish finish.
Bridge Deck
Raised bridge deck provides an L shaped settee with space for 6, to port. And, the helm station with captain's chair, electronics, engine controls, and gauges. Teak decking provides a nice touch, and provides good footing. Wet bar with ice box and teak storage boxes for added convenience.
The entire bridge deck can be fully enclosed by the bimini, top, side curtains, and rear drop curtain. A truly flexible arrangement, adjustable to any weather condition.
Aft Cockpit
The large cockpit, with deep coamings, teak decking, steps to the side decks, 2 comfortable transom seats with backrests, and a centered transom door, is sure to be the place for family and friends.
