Pacific Bluefin hulls had a history of some water intrusion issues along the sheer-line aft of the mid section, about where the cabin and cockpit meet. The owner of AHI hauled the boat at Basin Marine Shipyard and had a shipwright expert in the methods of cold molded construction remove any suspect areas on both sides of the hull and re-plank and re-glass as needed resulting in quality of construction better than the original. This was a considerable expense and most owner's of these boats would not have made that kind of investment but this owner did and it's an illustration of the way he has cared for this boat.
