1966 Vinette 43 Custom Steel Trawler

This 1966 Vinette 43 is a custom-built, welded steel trawler with classic lines and a proven cruising pedigree. Built by T.D. Vinette Boatworks, these semi-custom steel trawlers are known for their solid construction and offshore capability. The vessel was surveyed in June 2024 and is offered as-is, where-is.

The boat has spent most of its life in freshwater and was used locally in recent ownership, with previous trips to the Bahamas. She was in the water and operating as recently as two seasons ago and has since been hauled and dry-stored. The vessel has not yet been recommissioned but can be launched and prepared for the season at the buyer’s discretion.

In 2012, the boat was repowered with twin Nanni (Kubota-based) N4-115 diesel engines with ZF marine transmissions. The 2024 survey confirms the repower; systems were not operated at the time of inspection and should be reviewed as part of normal recommissioning.

The interior offers generous volume with a large main salon, galley, forward cabin, head with shower, and an expansive bridge with seating and access to an aft sun deck. The survey notes several items typical of a steel vessel of this vintage and one that has been out of the water, including hull, deck, electrical, propane, and general recommissioning items.
