Description
The Riva Ariston is the only model that has consistently appeared on the price list of the shipyard under the management of Carlo Riva. It has been continuously updated to live up to the name "The Best of the Best".
Originally delivered with a two-part glass screen, the model was supplied from 1952 with a single-piece glass screen, but still without a frame.
In 1955, the changes known as Super-Florida were adopted. The upholstery was done in yellow Vipla and black-and-white checkered Saran.
The hull was extended in 1956 to allow for the installation of the alternative Cadillac engine. In 1957, from #130, the diagonal three-layer planking was introduced.
The windshield was equipped with a frame. This made the Ariston an ideal boat for any season.
Throughout 1958, the seat cushions, like those of the other models, were covered with artificial leather. A blower was installed in the engine compartment. From 1959, a new dashboard and new instruments were installed, and a refined canopy was provided.
From #235, the upholstery with zebra pattern replaced the aging Saran. From that production number, new hinges for the hatches, a new steering wheel, a new dashboard, and new side pockets were installed. Starting in 1960, the driver's seat could be folded down. In the same year, the changes of the Super Florida were adopted. The text "Ariston" appears on the dashboard, and a compartment on the dashboard is introduced using a semicircular Plexiglas. Only Phillips screws were used thereafter.
