They say the acorn never falls far from the tree and the Draco brand – designed and built by Windy – is certainly not afraid to display its lineage proudly. In the case of the Draco 22 RS the similarities with the critically acclaimed Draco 27 are easy to spot. Take a look for yourself in this Draco 22 RS video filmed at Southampton Boat Show.

 


The pronounced rubbing strake and the wide deck spaces circulating within the cockpit are new-model Draco through and through. The fine almost vertical stem should create a soft ride with top speeds in the region of 40+ knots.

The bow seating hides an optional refrigerated locker and the aft seat back folds down to make a sunpad. If you loved last year's Draco 27 RS (see the video here) but didn't have the budget, then the 22 could be the boat for you.
