Description
This OPUS 34 sailing yacht has been in my ownership for 22 years. It's designed and built in Denmark. From first sight I decided that if the circumstances one day would arise for going long-distance sailing on my own keel, I would do it. After sailing in northern waters, in 2013 made the decision to go to New Zealand. I spent 2 years preparing the boat with all necessary equipment. This also included a cruise from Denmark to the northeast of Greenland. I named this one a "Test of Man and Mast." I wanted to test myself, having a crew onboard and of course the boat. It all went really well.
So in July 2015 I left Copenhagen with the waypoint of New Zealand in the sea map. After crossing half the globe, I and the crew successfully docked here in NZ. 32 crew all together, in turns of 3. In my ownership I logged about 40,000 NM.
In recent years the mahogany/maple cabin floor and all the teak on deck and the cabin top have been replaced. All the above water paint has been professional painted in original colours. You'll see the same colours presented in the new fabrics down below. Extra water-/diesel tanks and all needed equipment for blue water sailing have been installed, including complete navigation Furuno electronics. A high quality Aries windvane. Latest a new life raft, new toilet. The boat is well maintained.
It was a life dream for me to go to The South Pacific Islands, and for this reason I named her” TARANGA”. A legend story of a Polynesian mother and her son. "TARANGA" always took excellent care of me and my crew, and she will do the same for you as a new owner.
