Description
2013 Suncat 40
The Suncat 40 catamaran is a comfortable and easily managed catamaran. With its 40' long and 24' wide, it has good living space with a large built-in saloon dining area inside and outside that easily seats 6. Mast air clearance is 60 feet. This is a 3-cabin type, and 2 head boat that has been meticulously maintained with regular maintenance.
The catamaran was manufactured by DMI company in Trois Rivieres, Québec, Canada. This was designed by a renowned naval architect DERECK KEASALL. This company also manufactured 2 Trimaran FARRIER RXA31. The company closed after the first Suncat was made due to lack of market.
The catamaran was built with vacuum construction and core cell technology to reduce the weight and make her more sprightly to sail.
The boat was made totally with fiberglass epoxy resin and core cell hull was a triaxial construction of combined 32 oz and foam core. Wall and floor made of epoxy 18 oz. Most parts were made under vacuum process.
The 40 design has the angular design of the new models with good windows and portholes for more light. The saloon windows are covered with tempered glass stretched to give the boat a streamlined look and increased visibility.
The cockpit is spacious and comfortable with built-in dining and a large u-shaped seat and bench seat. There is a full set of cushions for the cockpit and upholstered helm seat with cover. There is a full set of electronics at the helm station.
The boat has always been on internal lake water.
