Beneteau is to introduce a new line of flybridge motor yachts. Known as the Monte Carlo project, the new range is designed to combine the industrial know-how of this well-established French company with the most desirable elements of Italian nautical design. And to that end, the design house, Nuvolari & Lenard, is on board to assist with both external styling and internal layout.

Beneteau MC5

As you can see from the 50-foot MC 5 (pictured), the new craft incorporates a very Mediterranean look, with space for up to 16 people and power from either Volvo Penta’s IPS 500 or IPS 600, This will add some very useful control and manoeuvrability to the armoury of the new flybridge. While additional details are currently scarce, those keen to know more need only wait until January 2013, when the MC5 makes its official debut at the Dusseldorf Boat Show.
