2015 Catathai 34 | L’Hirondelle
L’Hirondelle is a 34ft open bridgedeck Catathai sailing catamaran designed by the eminent Tahiti-based French naval architect Nico Gruet.
This three-cabin catamaran is very easy to sail and maintain with simple systems and a brand-new Suzuki 20hp outboard.
The bridgedeck precinct is well set up with a galley, chart table, cooker, sink and refrigerator, and it will seat up to eight at two hideaway tables in the 360-degree viewing area. Forward easy access to the trampolines means great circulation around the catamaran for maximum enjoyment.
A sail plan of over 70sqm of upwind sails on a 2.5 tonne cat translates to close to wind-speed cruising and even more when off the wind with the gennaker up.
The three cabins include a main plus two single bunk areas in each bow for accommodating friends and family.
L’Hirondelle’s owners have enjoyed the catamaran for the last several years since having her built and has decided that now is the time to move on to their next project. She is ideal for light adventure charters around Thailand having Thai registry, and she can just as easily have offshore registration at the drop of a hat. This ensures a new owner can cruise further afield or transport this light, small-footprint cat anywhere in the world.
