Out-Rageous is a fast ocean cruiser, she has all the equipment necessary to complete a safe and comfortable circumnavigation. It was our intention to circumnavigate in her.
Prior to leaving the UK, an extensive refit was carried out to include total engine rebuilds and the replacement of all standing rigging.
Unfortunately as always, a change in direction forces us to abandon our dream. As you can see by the specification, we have continued to upgrade her systems throughout our time in her, she will make somebody a safe, comprehensively equipped, fast comfortable blue water cruiser.
The large cockpit area has rear and side mesh sunshades and incorporated rain proof side sreens. There is also a full cockpit enclosure for colder climes. The cockpit cushions were recovered in 2018. Within the cockpit are three large storage lockers, one houses the 4KVA Onan generator the other cleaning equipment and the Waeco Coolfreeze CF80 Freezer, whilst in the remaining locker is a dive compressor and diving equipment which currently is not included within the sale.
A full set of Raymarine wind instruments, sounder and two multifunctional displays which can display any data within the onboard raymarine system. At the port helmstation there is a Raymarine C90 plotter display at the Starboard helm is the Raymarine auto pilot control, there is also a Raymarine remote handset.
All sail handling can be carried within the safety of the cockpit with all lines leading into the cockpit and with the aid of 2 Lewmar ST48 for Main sheet manual winches. 2 Lewmar ST48 for Halyard Genoa electric winches. 2 Lewmar ST44 Furling + Daggerboard manual winches, 1 Lewmar ST50 for main and reefing electric winch.
Out-Rageous sail wardrobe comprises of five sails, a fully battened Doyle main (new 2018) a downwind furling screecher (new 2018) Furling jib sail, Storm sail and an asymetrical snuffing spinnaker new 2013. Aluminium mast with all standing rigging replaced in 2012.
Anchoring, Out-Rageous carries two anchors a spade anchor with 60m of chain and forty meters of rode, an aluminum fortress anchor with ten meters of chain 50 meters of rode. Attachment is via a bridal. Hauling is by means of a Lewmar electric windlass with remote also there is a lewmar electric deck mounted capstan.
There are six spacious deck lockers, two carry each a 400 litre diesel tank, one for anchor chain and one for mooring lines. The port forward locker carries fenders, pasarelle, spare anchor and rode. The starboard is the sail locker also within is a ParaAnchor survival series complete with retrieval system.
There is a full sunbrella boat cover to be used whilst stored ashore.
Out-rageous has a 240 AC electrical system, in addition to shore power, an Onan 4KVA generator supplies AC for such systems as the air conditioing units and dive compressor, In addition there is a Victron Inverter/charging system.
DC, she also carries six 135 amp hour gel batteries new in 2014 and two 100 amp hour starting batteries, all are charged by 1000 watts of solar power via an outback solar charger. In addition charging is supplemented by shore, generator or engine alternators. The port engine carries an external Balmar charge for improved charging whilst under engine power.
There two 400 litre water tanks one in each hull supplying a pressurised water system heated via two carlorifiers from the engines or electrically via shore or generator power.
There is also a Water Maker – Schenker Modular 60 12v new 2017.
Two holding tanks each 68 lit capacity discharged either overboard by macerator pumps or can be discharged via suitable shore facility.

generator (Serial Nr - K060995857), this is fitted in the cockpit locker under
the cockpit table. This is fitted with a fresh water cooled Kubota diesel engine
She has an owners layout with the entire starboard hull; comprising of large queen size bed with memory foam mattress, then a seated dressing area, laundry area to include washing machine, ample cupboards and storage. Forward there is a very large shower room which includes vanity unit and electric toilet (fresh or sea water flush).
To port there is a large ensuite aft cabin which can be either two singles or one double which leads into further cupboard space and then to the forward ensuite berth the ensuite includes an electric toilet.
A spacious airy saloon comprising of a galley area, with corian counter tops, a force ten three burner stove and large cupboard storage areas. In addition frigoboat water cooled fridge and freezer take care of food storage a second Waeco freezer is is located in a cockpit locker. There is a comprehensive Fusion hifi system with a remote control in the cockpit. All saloon cusions were recovered in 2013. A pop up TV is also located in the saloon. Interior blinds are fitted to cool the saloon In addtion Out-Rageous is fitted with a water cooled Webasto airconditioning system to all cabins and the saloon.
Within the saloon is also the navigation station which comprises of Raymarine radar/ plotter, a PC with a large monitor upon which are various navigation software programs, connection to a masthead wifi aeriel and Satellite Communication Iridium Pilot all interfaced via the internal Redbox system which connects to personal tablets and phones. There is also an active radar reflector, an Icom VHF radio with integrated AIS which transmits in addition to receiving, hand held Icom VHF
