"Hannibal" is an exemplary example of a classic Chesapeake Bug Eye ketch that has lived a privileged life. "Hannibal" spent two years going through a massive refit from 2010-2012. This professional refit was shared between Knight & Carver Marine and Baja Naval Shipyard.

Almost everything on board, from her keel/centerboard to her sails is new. Her layout has changed and all equipment is new as well. All of the electrical system has also been renewed and her generator has 284 hours. The main engine  has 703 hours as of Jan, 2019.

From her mechanical, electrical and plumbing, to her cosmetics and sail inventory, "Hannibal" is in ready to go condition.

Accommodations

Forward in the forepeak is a chain/sail locker. Next aft is the main cabin with a v-berth stateroom forward,head to port with the salon aft. The salon is fitted with a dinette and single quarter berth with the galley to port. The interior is fitted with mahogany wood trim, teak and holly sole along with tile in the heads and granite counters in the galley. The bulkheads are painted plywood with wood batten headliner and LED lighting. Exiting the main cabin is the center cockpit with helm station immediately aft. Next is the aft stateroom with two single bunks and en suite head. The weather decks are painted nonskid along with the entire exterior of the vessel with the use of Awlgrip marine finishes. The weather decks are fitted with bulwarks and aluminum rails.

A recent survey was done to determine the feasibility of having this vessel inspected to carry passengers. Page Obenshain can discuss this further with you.

The masts were painted mid-2016. The running rigging was new as of late 2016. All standing rigging was fully inspected and serviced in late 2012. The terminals on the standing rigging are Norseman terminals.

Construction - Aluminum with some aluminum bulkheads, longitudinal stringers and athwartship frames.
