We are very used to the Quicksilver Activ range of very open, user-friendly, affordable craft (see the Quicksilver Activ 855 video: first look as one example) but at the recent London Boat Show we were introduced to something very different. The Quicksilver Activ 755 Cruiser is a kind of Scandinavian style cruiser with a sports cuddy.

Watch our First Look Video tour of the boat below.

The first thing you notice about the Quicksilver Activ 755 Cruiser is the cockpit is actually very cleverly arranged. In addition to that very stylish starboard galley you get a swinging backrest at the nav position  an infill at the dinnett and a folding backrest at the aft bench that creates an enormous sunbathing platform that goes all the way back to the outboard.

This might be a sports cuddy but its intelligent design continues below, with long panoramic windows well below the rubbing strake, a folding step to increase standing headroom, a diagonal bed, an additional seat and, in particular, a separate heads compartment to starboard.

I like a lot of things about the Quicksilver Activ 755 Cruiser. I like the overhead canvas and the fact that it recesses deep behind the aft bench to avoid taking up storage space. I like the fact that you can equip this boat with anything from 150 to 300 HP. What I really like is the price, which makes it a lot more affordable than most of the equivalent boats from Scandinavia.
