Fairlie Yachts, the classic boat specialist, is pleased to announce that the sale has been agreed of the first Fairlie 55 in its new Spirit of Tradition class of quality yachts. The company has also agreed a long-term association with a classic superyacht project in the UK and three other design projects are currently out for consideration with clients.

FairliePrincipal Designer, Paul Spooner, said: “We’ve got a good flow of business despite the challenging economic climate and we are continuing to develop the Fairlie Yachts brand as we feel confident that the recent upturn in business stands us in good stead for the future.”

The difficult economic climate has recently led to a major restructuring within Fairlie Yachts, which culminated at the end of last week with the company’s decision to put it’s subsidiary Fairlie Restorations into administration. The Spirit of Tradition yachts will comprise the Fairlie 55, the Fairlie 66, the Fairlie 77 and the Fairlie 110.
