Yamaha’s stand at the London Boat Show is always a major feature, but in January 2012 it promises to be even more interesting than usual. Not only will it feature the entire range of Yamaha outboard engines, but it will also boast a pair new Yamarin sports boats right at its heart.

Yamarine Cross

Five styles
Yamaha UK (the official importer and distributor of Yamarin craft) will be showing five different styles from the 24-model Yamarin range but of particular interest will be the new 63 Day Cruiser sports boat and the surprisingly different Yamarin Cross 53 Bow Rider (pictured).

Aluminium hull
This new ‘Cross’ design combines an aluminum hull with a GRP deck, enabling it to exploit the best of both materials. From the aluminium, you get the strength, the light weight and the durability and from the GRP you get the clean and attractive finish. The 53BR also has excellent space for six passengers, with a good-sized open cockpit area, plus folding seats and a large space in the bow. And in tune with the general quality of this Finnish boat builder, the windscreen is free of optic distortion and a solid door is included to help shelter the aft passengers. If it proves to be as good as it looks, the Cross 53BR could well turn out to be one of the highlights of the London Boat Show fleet. See Yamaha for details
