One of the three versions of Bavaria's flagship new Sport range (it's also available in Hard Top or Open format), the Bavaria Sport 450 Coupe was on display at the Dusseldorf Boat Show, where boats.com reviewer, Alex Smith went aboard for a closer look.
In keeping with Bavaria-Yachtbau's practical aesthetic, the 450 Coupe offers great all-round visibility from the helm position and plenty of interior headroom. Under the large sunbathing area on the stern is a fairly cavernous dinghy garage and the instruments are laid out with simplicity and functionality in mind.
Down below there is the option of three cabins to sleep six, or perhaps the preferable alternative layout with two cabins and a much larger communal space centred on the galley.
With design input from the likes of megayacht builders Insenaval and the Italian design agency TOO Design, the exterior may not be to everyone's taste, but the payoff is in the amount of interior space and the flexibility to cruise in all weathers without compromise.
