Description

PRICE REDUCTION:

The sellers has advised that prior to moving the vessel south, for the southern winter cruising season, they will be looking at all offers and may consider some form of real estate trade as part of the sale. She is indeed a unique vessel and ready to go in all aspects and will suit a buyer looking for a comfortable boat that is more than able to take on the rigours of extended offshore passages and remote cruising. Coming out of a Tasmanian yard, you should have great confidence in her overall build standard and seakeeping qualities. Currently lying in SE Qld and launched in 2010 with many important upgrades by current owner, this is a "must see" vessel. This handsome steel motor cruiser was designed by a noted fishing boat designer John Anderton and built for the Southern Ocean, to go anywhere in safety and comfort. No expense has been spared, with exquisite attention to detail. A superbly comfortable passage-maker with accommodation for eight, she has been built to survey specifications but has never been a commercial vessel. Looking at her strong lines and quality of build, internal accommodations and general overall condition, we can see vast potential in this vessel. Be it for a trip of a lifetime around our vast and remote coastlines, or offshore out into far off anchorages with surfing or fishing in mind, or just living aboard, and taking advantage of our wonderful cruising grounds closer to base, this extremely well-built vessel will cover all bases. She has a large fore-deck with raised bow, full walkaround decks and plenty of room in the aft cockpit. Adding to this her long-range capabilities and self-sufficiency (large water-maker and big freezer) you are left with no doubt about her passage-making capabilities. Top this off again with the Hydraulic Pot hauler and live tank setup, many redundancies, and you can see the type of cruising the designer was thinking of. She is equipped with the most modern conveniences, yet her surroundings remain refreshingly traditional.

Accommodations

ACCOMODATION: Interior coachwork has been done in a light European Beech giving a modern styling feel that is current today. Leather look headlining throughout with recessed downlights. Entering forward through the main rear doorway, out of the aft cockpit, you walk through the large galley (more fully described below) into the saloon to port and the substantial comprehensively equipped helm station to starboard. The saloon features L shaped seating, around a lovely timber dining table. This can double as a sea-berth if the need arises and is a nice place to be close to the skipper while doing watches. Storage under seating and excellent visibility from here through the large sliding windows, port and starboard, and forward out onto the foredeck. She has toughened glass windows to survey standard. The helm station has everything at hand for the skipper, and features a sliding companionway door out onto the starboard side deck for quick access forward or aft. The quality helm chair will make time at the helm a pleasure. As you come down the internal stairs to a second entertainment come sitting area you find a second settee and table to starboard, with two single bunks to port. Forward of the port berths are located draws and a locker. Two large deck hatches provide lighting and allow for good air movement throughout. The access forward again is through a watertight bulkhead to a spacious, well-lit cabin housing four single berths and a fifth smaller berth forward again. This bunk can be used as bulky storage area for when there is a full crew aboard.
Moving back through second saloon and to starboard of the stairs leading down from the main saloon and galley, is the access into the master cabin featuring a large double berth to port and full ensuite to starboard, all finished in beech with an impressive amount of stowage in drawers and hanging lockers throughout.
The luxurious ensuite features beech and black granite and is lit by portlights. Headroom: 6ft 6in. Extensive storage is a feature throughout the vessel.
Outside the wide decks are protected by high bulwarks and stainless handrails. Side decks are covered by a solid roof that can be used as more storage for extra dinghies and surfboards/kyaks. The hatch on the centre storage locker on fore-deck opens up to provide stair treads up onto the coachroof. There are large lockers either side of this as well and portside is plumbed for live well and ready to connect. The open fore-deck allows easy movement forward to anchor station or the huge forward lazarette locker. Plenty of room in here for spare rode, chain and anchors.
Back on deck and down either side through to the aft cockpit you have the rear lazarette locker to starboard of amidships, leading down into the storage area below and access to the engine room. The dedicated dinghy crane is right on centre-line and the opening gate to port on the stern leads down to the duckboard. Substantial davits hold the current dinghy well above the duckboard and out of harms way in a following sea. Down into the lazarette you find the large freezer to port with another storage locker that could be converted to a freezer (currently being used for bulky storage). Plenty of room down here for fishing gear and any toys/tools/spares and cruising gear. Move on forward into the engine room and you can see the attention to detail that has been put into this build. Everything is as it should be and has been well planned in the initial build. Additions by current owner have been done in the same vane and complement the already impressive layout.

Remarks:

As you can see from the images attached and the detailed inventory, this vessel will be equally at home cruising the colder waters to our south looking for those private anchorages this coastline provides or just as happy searching for the elusive break in Indonesia or out into the Pacific. With room aboard to allow for plenty of takers when she sets off, we feel she will lend herself to this style of cruising. Owner/skipper or crewed trips will be possible with the right planning and permits put in place by her new owner. Similarly, she will be at home with just her new owners happily cruising wherever they feel the need to explore. We have detailed specifications available on her build that can be viewed aboard at time of inspection.
Yachtdomain is proud to offer this purpose built passage maker, designed and constructed to the highest standards to effectively deal with the realities of ocean voyaging and long term live-aboard. Fully weather protected helm station, low maintenance exterior, extremely functional interior, lots of storage space both on deck and below. These are just some of the features built into her design. She comes highly recommended for the serious offshore cruiser. Here is the opportunity you have been waiting for.
