A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THIS EXTREMELY SOLID AND WELL BUILT OCEAN GOING CRUISER WITH THE FACILITY TO DROP SCREENS AND RADAR ARCH TO GIVE A DRAMATICALLY LOWER AIR DRAFT. BUILT IN 1989 FOR THE DUTCH ROYAL FAMILY  IT BOASTS A UNIQUE LEVEL OF FIT OUT WITH HIGH QUALITY FITTINGS  AND WALNUT WOODWORK THROUGHOUT WHICH EVEN INCLUDES A MARBLE KITCHEN WORKTOP WITH TWO MARBLE INFILLS FOR THE DOUBLE SINK.

The Broom Ocean 42 is renowned for its build quality and sea-keeping abilities. There are few boats of this size that have such generous accommodation. The interior is finished in beautiful classic walnut with extensive storage in all cabins The newly-upholstered saloon offers very comfortable L-shaped seating and an additional tub chair in matching upholstery.

All light bulbs have been replaced with either warm white or cool white LEDs

A drop-leaf table converts to a coffee table when not in use.

A range of cupboards with attractive panelled doors includes bookcases, TV/DVD housing and a separate cocktail cabinet. To port, there is an internal steering position with full instrumentation. On the starboard side, two steps lead down to the galley, which is fully fitted with an electric combination microwave, gas oven and grill as well as a 2 ring ceramic & 2 burner gas hob and 2 way fridge with freezer box. On the port side of the saloon are steps down to a short passage leading to the spacious master cabin, with ensuite heads and shower c/w with recent shower tap upgrades. There is extensive drawer and hanging space, including 2 dressing tables and 2 wardrobes and a full size double island bed with reading lights above. From the front of the saloon, steps lead down to the companion way with a  newly appointed double berth with dressing table, wardrobe and plenty of storage Thisn cabin has refurbished hull wall panelling with increased insulation together with a brand new specially shaped mattress with removable cover. Elecric plugs have been added.

Also at the fwd end of the saloon and down the steps to the starboard side is a large chart table in walnut to match the rest ofn the boat with draw beneath. The chart table lifts up to allow many charts to be stored beneath.

To port there are separate heads and a spacious shower room with access both from the fwd berth and the saloon.

 The fly bridge is accessed via steps from the saloon and provides a fully covered helmsman position with newly upholstered helm and navigation seats (sliding) plus additional newly upholstered bench seats all in a waterproof easy clean fabric.

Storage is available beneath both the helmsmans seats and the additional seating to starboard

There is full instrumentation and a large chart table. Navigation equipment includes a new Ray Marine hybrid  touch-screen chart plotter c/w raymarine radar and VHF fixed radio all fitted in 2016..

On deck there are HD stainless steel stanchions and fender baskets.

On the stern there are HD Simpson Lawrence stainless steel davits with a 2.9m 2 seater rib c/w 4hp 4 stroke mercury outboard.along with 1 x 4 man canister life raft.
