A very well presented 1974 Fairey Super Swordsman 33 which has been the subject of an extensive professional refit for the current owner who purchased her in 2012 and is now selling because he has found his next boat.
From the drawing board of Alan V. Burnard, this Fairey Super Swordsman is a real classic aft cabin motorboat, built on the banks of the River Hamble.
The Fairey Swordsman range was launched in 1964 and the Super Swordsman which utilised the same hull form, was introduced for the 1970s.
The Fairey Swordsman range, as is common with the remainder of the Fairey Marine vessels, possesses phenomenal seakeeping and handling characteristics. `Le Grande sword' is now some forty-five years of age and has had considerable work carried out. The cosmetic finish externally and internally is of the highest order. She is powered by a pair of six cylindered Ford Sabre 212hp commercial rated engines fitted in 1996.
'Le Grande sword' won Best Super Swordsman at the Fairey Owners Club Concours d'elegance rally in 2016.

Isotherm 24v fridge, new galley sink, new combi microwave oven, new two ring electric hob, new Corian worktops in galley, cockpit seats replaced with new seats and Barka adjustable pedestals, cockpit flooring replaced, interior flooring replaced with teak and holly flooring.
New Lewmar windlass with controls at helm and remote, new stainless-steel Ultra Marine Anchor and swivel, new anchor chain, Vetus Bow thruster, Sidepower Stern thruster
New beige canopy covers, new beige covers to protect dash and cockpit varnish from sunlight
New 24v batteries:

The Fairey Owners' Club
Although Fairey boats were built in the '50s until the early '80s, it was not until 1986 that the Fairey Owners Club was founded. Their basic idea, which remains the principal objective of the club, is to preserve the marque.
In its present form the Club organises rallies and events throughout the year, at which there is an easy exchange of information. It also has extensive archive information, which is constantly being added to.
Membership is currently more than 200 and is growing steadily. Although a large percentage of members are based on the South Coast of Britain, there are many in other parts of the UK, including Northern Ireland. There are also members as far afield as Holland, Corfu, Norway and the Maldives.
