The award follows an extensive review of the marina’s facilities by a TYHA inspector and an anonymous “mystery shop” conducted by external company Retail Active, and is a great achievement of which Mayflower Marina’s directors and staff are justly proud.

Charles Bush, Managing Director of Mayflower Marina says of the award: “We are really delighted to have been awarded 5 Gold Anchors. Achieving such an accolade reflects the significant investment we have made in our facilities, the emphasis we place on customer service and plain old hard work. I am immensely grateful to my staff for their efforts in helping to attain this award.”

The number of anchors awarded under the Gold Anchor Scheme demonstrates the facilities and standard of service available to berth holders as well as a compliance with statutory regulations. Mayflower Marina scored very highly in all categories.

Gareth Turnbull, General Manager of TYHA said: “It is clear from the three sets of reports we consider that Charles and his team have been working hard to achieve the 5 Gold Anchor status and in such a difficult business environment this has to be commended.”

Mayflower Marina is independently operated and is owned by shareholders many of whom are current berth holders. It is a fully serviced, 396 berth marina which has excellent facilities and a strong focus on Customer Service.
